Does this look better? I think it is just about there. Any other thoughts or suggestions? Attachments:

I think i got why the exahust doesn't look as exhaust.... it is drawn like a CAR one, where the silencer (that bulge part) is under the chassis and then the "pipe" is smaller. In bikes the bigger part is at the end. So i'll draw them curve (to remove the illusion of a car-like chassis) and slowly enlarging from the engine to the tail. Perhaps i'd make 2 instead of just one. Then some highlight to make them "round" and you'll be done. Another thing i don't get is how you see the cockpit in "3D".... there's a larger part on the top and a smaller one inside the fork....

Think of a Honda CRV. It has a hatch and a part under it that is see-through. The "bottom-part" of the glass is the "windshield," and the top part is the "canopy" like a jet-fighter (or X-Wing). The hatch opens, and the "pilot" climbs in. For some reason, the exhaust narrowed a LOT during the conversion to PDF (and the tires are now ovals and look like eggs instead of round. See what I mean, I need to compensate more for that). The "bike" is about 3" long, and stands 1 1/4" high! I will add the center "box" and then I can start throwing these on some pages! I am VERY excited about this. It is like the CAMEL, only kick-buttier!

I was able to make a prototype yesterday. I am pretty happy with the scale as a bike, but a little small for a buggy. Still trying to find time to finish this. I *may* work up a few different vechicles and work them into a HUGE release with 10 colors of each, and three or so models (Maybe a tank, a truck and this). We'll see. I fulfilled my quota this month, so I can get a jump-start on February. I *may* also do more color variations of the CAMEL. Then again, we'll see how things go. Any suggestions or requests? I had a few minutes, so I worked on the "body" of hte "buggy" version. I LOVE that it has a grill like a "classic jeep," but the rest of it is ultra-modern. I am going to try to get more of an "older" feel to the models (rusty, dirty) and try to steer clear of the "fresh off the show-room floor"... although that is PERFECT for the SYNFED. (The drivers/pilots have to make sure their machines are spotless before leaving the motor pool. If they don't pass inspection, they have to clean them with a toothbrush). Any thoughts? ;D Attachments:

Here it is with the CAMEL FAAV (for reference). I think it looks like some sort of bug or insect. Any thoughts? Any ideas for a name for it? I was thinking maybe "Cricket," since it looks like a cricket... "Mantis," perhaps? Attachments:

This is looking awesome, Kiladecus! ;D
By the way, I'm working on a small flying transport inspired by your technique... hopefully I'll post a test build today.

Looks great! I love this vehicle! The modularity of weapons, etc. makes it REALLY cool.

Thanks Dagger! ;D These are easy to convert to 15mm... Just saying... OK! These are laid out, and have 12 (count 'em TWELVE) color schemes. Some are civilian, and others are miltary themed. I just have to do an isntruction page, and cover and this is ready to hit the "Shelf."

Now it got very visually interesting... The weapons and the glass effects did the trick nicely. Also the geometry of the 3D version make the most of your method. Very good!
And somehow the bike and buggy versions are two entirely different animals, I can't say they are the same vehicle, and hardly can say that they are related to each other. I think that I would have to point to someone seeing them on the table that they are made from the same pieces, because I'm not sure that a player would notice otherwise. So, two models for the price of one. Good deal.

Thanks, Hackbarth! ;D I have to say that this is pretty exciting. I did some small revisions yesterday, and not only changed the weapons around a little, but I ALSO added "weapon-mounting plates" to the sides of the vehicle(s). You simply add the weapons you want to the plates, and things *should* line up pretty well. My printer was part of a power surge at the house last night, so it is going to take some time to "reset." That means I can't release this today, as I had hoped. I ALWAYS print things out before releasing them to make sure that things line up and so forth. It *should* be this week, though...

Probably too late, but could a triangular roof make a trike out of this?

I considered this, but I think it needs some more testing. I am also testing some more angular boxes.

After doing another batch of How to Train Your Dragon dragons, and doing one of Dave Winfield's easy models that wasn't as easy as I expected, picking up Hoard forum-side duties, and hitting a roadblock on my coaching inn, I needed something quick. I didn't want to put weapons on it, so I did mod the side with an extra indented section (which made the fuel access need to be smaller). Otherwise, this is the little yeller bugger. I have a 9-year-old special needs neighbor, and this model definitely passed the Aiden test.
