For those who are interested in playing with some of my unfinished 1/600 sky galleons work from years ago; dl.dropbox.com/u/2320000/SGOM/SGOM-rough_wips.zipMost are untested builds, some are lacking in texture. If you complete a piece please send me a pic so I can add it to the official downloads page at my site.

I just went a little nuts and downloaded all of the sky galleons series. The funny part is that I don't even have any Space 1889 on the horizon. I did have the original book when it came out, and among my capitol ship games, Ironclads and Ether Flyers was a favorite, though oft planned for and never played.

Space: 1889 is one of my favorite games of all times (I'm running a steampunk alternate-War-of-the-Sixth-Coalition-with-airships game right now). These are really awesome (albeit tiny!).
seriously, how do you get those tiny tabs to fit just right?

These are really awesome (albeit tiny!). seriously, how do you get those tiny tabs to fit just right? Patience. Seriously, when I started designing these I was stuck at home for a week recovering from surgery so I couldn't do much and was going a little stir-crazy. Working on something small, but demanding of focus, really helped me get through my recovery without becoming an A-hole. Oh, and tweezers. This kind; I like the Space:1889 concepts but found the rules clunky for an rpg. I loved Sky Galleons of Mars though. When I worked at the comics and game store I unpacked the first box of SGOM to arrive in Alaska, which I promptly purchased.

Yeah, I thought the ruleset was pretty terribly, so I've adapted them for various systems over the years (Rolemaster, Cortex, WEG d6 Star Wars).
Hmmm, I might need to go raid my wife's craft closet for her good tweezers, if I start putting those fellows together....

eran As a wife whose good tweezers and little scissors always go missing, might I suggest you pick up your own
