OK, she is Pasiphilo's artwork. But I can't wait. This is a wonderful figure, full of details and colors. With a great view. So I share her with you all. My apologies Pasiphilo. A whole sorceress' team ( I dream that they are more sorceresses )!!! I can't wait.

Thanks for the free publicity, Rhannon. (: And thanks to both of you for the kudos! I'm sure it's obvious, but just to be clear, this is a detailed character illustration of the Greenhold Sorceress and not the actual 28mm figure artwork. I'll post pictures of her 28mm figure when its ready. If you're interested, you can see more of my character illustrations in my DeviantART gallery. Cheers!

I just got and build my Greenhold Knights. Awesome as usual. I look forward to completing the whole set - no matter how many you make.

I'll post pictures of her 28mm figure when its ready. Is there a reason you wouldn't use this art for the 28mm figure? I think it would work out fine. The cape covers most of the back detail, and there isn't a huge amount of perspective in the figure so it wouldn't look too weird from the back. The only real problem area is the feet, but they way you cut your minis means that you can change the feat on the back without messing up the pose. I just really like this dynamic pose and think it would make for a very interesting mini as it is

Is there a reason you wouldn't use this art for the 28mm figure? I take a much different design approach to the minis in order to account for their size and "flat" two-dimensional nature, so there are a few reasons why I wouldn't use this artwork for a miniature, including: - There is too much fine detail in this illustration to be visible in a print measuring less than 3cm tall.
- As you point out, the perspective is not well-suited to a 2D figurine because everything below her waist is in a high-angle perspective.
- She's proportioned like a normal human whereas I proportion my minis at 5½ to 6 heads tall in order to exagerate their proportions, thereby making them easier to view on the tabletop.
- Plus a bunch of other design factors to do with line thickness, torso facing, etc.
The paper mini artwork for the Greenhold Sorceress is actually finished and she's in exactly the same pose. In fact, it was her "mini" that I referred to when drawing this illustration. (-: She'll most likely be released as part of a "command" set with another spellcaster, 2 champions/lieutenants, and a captain. I'll be sure to post a preview when they're all ready.

Thanks for the peek "behind the curtain." You obviously put a lot of thought into your designs, and even though the best art conceals the art, the results speak for themselves. I'll be rememberin the "6 head rule" in the future.

Thanks for the peek "behind the curtain."... I'll be rememberin the "6 head rule" in the future. My pleasure, cowboyleland! Glad I could help. (-: I observed that most of the resin-cast minis I own are proportioned that way and I like how they look, so it seemed reasonable to proportion my paper minis the same way. She'll most likely be released as part of a "command" set with another spellcaster, 2 champions/lieutenants, and a captain. I'll be sure to post a preview when they're all ready. OMG! Want! Awesome! Well, I hope not to disappoint! (-: I'm taking a short break from the Greenhold folks to work on some adversaries for them to face - specifically, orcs - but I hope to have both new sets out within the next 6 weeks.
