Hiya Dave, I'm setting up 'Kill team' tournament, lots of small tables with lots of scenery and as I'm addicted to your stuff the crosspiece ruins sets are perfect.... have you any plans to extend this to a set of lower ruins? Low enough to shoot over? I've got your walls sets, but they don't have the crosspiece set up.

Heck yeah, I could do something like that. Crosspiece ruins are really fun to design, and easy! Let me put that on the short wish list and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've used the other ruins sandwiched around black foam core (PArduz method!) They look superb, my low walls (from the garden set) are a little too pristine, even with battle damage!

For this set (maybe two or three sets, depending) I'm thinking:
Low ruined walls (concrete/brick) Low fences and walls (wood/concrete/brick/stone/plaster) Greenery hedges (maybe crops like cornstalks too)
Anything else?

Macgyvered barricades assembled from what ever junk happened to be on hand.

I like both of those additional ideas, as well as the hedges. All very useful.

Awesome We played 40K yesterday on my jungle ruins board...... loads of fish tank plants surrounding cross-piece ruins. I asked the players 'what did you think of the game' afterwards, they all said 'great scenery'. Now we are looking for a better set of rules to use the scenery with

I'm working on the Crosspiece Low Ruins set now, just laying out the lines and thinking about textures. So far so good.
I've actually finished a Crosspiece Fences set, but haven't had a chance to upload it yet. I'll probably do that this weekend, now that the sales on the Command Tent are slowing down.

Pretty close to finishing up the Crosspiece Low Ruins set. Should be available just before, or just after, this weekend.
After that, I'm not sure. I still like the idea of crosspiece hedges, crosspiece barricades... But in the back of my mind, I'm thinking about a new 3D barn model.

Awesome Got them, just what I needed. No concrete though? Brick and plaster fits in well with the board

No concrete, since that would've suggested graffiti layers and some other modern or futuristic features that I think would fit better for post-apocalyptic/future-war product lines.
I had reached my "amount of work for the price point" threshhold with this one already, which is to say that I've put in about 120 hours on this set for the $3 price point, which means I need to start moving onto another product if I want to be able to pay the bills.
But I might come back to these Low crosspiece sets and give them another set of textures when I get the chance.
