I'm looking for a mini and hoped someone could point me in the right direction. I need a mini to portray a medium size dwarf clockwork creature. Anything close will work. Thanks.

Hoard 30 has a bronze golem, it's a little tall from what I remember, but you could probably shrink it to make it dwarf-sized.

vwilliams32407 give me a visual and I will see what I can do! what scale do you want it in? He was an automaton created by dwarves to house the spirit of an elder dwarf. His gears are golden and inscribed with runes. Here is the picture of him from the adventure. The scale would be 28mm.

I'll finish him some time tomorrow it's late and the misses wants me to come to bed LOL WOW that was fast! He looks great. He does not carry weapons. He is more of a mascot who's job is to run paperwork for a dwarven shiping company. Would it be possible to somehow show a large golden cog in his chest or belly area maybe with some runes on it? Also would it be possible to create a damaged version with him pulled in half with spare cogs to lie around him? Maybe akin to when the scarecrow got pulled apart in the Wizard of Oz? If that is too much to ask I completely understand. With what you have created thus far I am more than grateful.

so like this then ? I made his middle finger on his right hand gold so he could give those creepy monks the golden finger! I'll add some more details later and then the back Runes you say .. on the cog ... I can do it but I don't think anyone will see them. broken .... hummmm!! forming an idea ...

Man that looks great! I love the cog and I think you are right that no one will see runes on it. The middle finger is a great touch, I love it. I can see some greedy dwarf being mesmerized by it after having been flipped off. I look forward to see what else you come up with.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate this. The mini looks great. I won't be starting this adventure for a couple of months so I'll keep an eye out for the broken version. Again if you can't get to it I understand. Thanks for what you have done. I'll let all of my players know that this is your work and we look forward to your future endeavors.

No worries ! I'm glad I could help be on the look out of the broken guy in the near future . I hate it when I can't run a good campaign because I don't have the models ... think of all the wasted games!! oh well moving on

Really great work here aaron! I have a good idea for a broky version of this guy ... Sounds interesting - I'm kinda excited to see where this leads! EDIT: Small suggestion - remove those unneeded shadows (loins and legs mostly), please?

hey thanks mesper ... why is the shadow unneeded? I thought it give the model a bit of depth and texture, the way the lighting works it would shadow darkly those areas? unless your printer doesn't handle that level of detail then it would look smudgy and weird ...

why is the shadow unneeded? Oops! Sorry - I was not precise enough perhaps? Actually I like shadow / light effects very much - good job! I was talking about *UNNEEDED* shadows/artifacts surrounding the figurine's body... =>>please see attached below previews (#2 magnified) EDIT: These pics are just previews and will be removed within 48 hours

Aaron, I was reading further into the adventure and came across another picture of Rabscuttle the automaton and it is surprising how close your interpretation came to the real thing! I don't know why none of my IMG links from photobucket will not work anymore however if you click on the busted image link you can view the picture.

that is uncanny ! why they could be brother! at least from the same family anyway ... maybe distant cousins ... there are defiantly elements of both that are pretty good... I may make another one later shuffling the elements that are working for both ... that could be cool!

I used the Hackbarth Process (q.v.) to apply Aaron's colour scheme to the rabscuttle sketch. I just did a mirror for the back because I actually don't think it makes a great fig (too much white) and I don't have the skills to make a back in this style anyway. Attachments:
