Do want all of us to re-introduce ourselves? I have that unfortunate incident with the temporary restraining order from Witness Protection regarding two melons, a bottle of Selsen Blue, and three turtles--and it wasn't my hotel room room, honest!

Sure! Did we ever have an Introductions Board? I seem to recall everyone just wandering in and making themselves at home.

Yes, I work for the Brazilian government. No, the recent upheavals weren't my fault. Honest!
Here I mostly do mods and recolors. They're fun.

This pic really stirs up an urge in me to dig up my ancient copy of Quest for Glory 4 and give it another replay! Well, Kev, if you have an extra $5 laying around (and more time than any adult should have ) you can play all FIVE of the original Quests for Glory by visiting Good Old Games . They've got a 50% off sale until July 5th. I've just sent $2 your way for the new set - WackyAnne AKA Dungeon Mama P.S. I read your bio a few days ago, and meant to say something about our shared love of those games. QFG2 was my favourite of the series; I loved wandering around Shapeir, munching on saurus-on-a-stick. Should I add an extra one to the BBQ for you this fine holiday? P.P.S. Oh wait! You haven't even seen the blog post that accompanies this photo! This guy IS my hero from QFG! Montresor, the multi-classing thief, as true-to-life as I could find him in miniature, all for the bargain-bin price of $0.50! He is about to become my first-ever-tabletop-RPG-as-an-adult character (after playing a couple of pre-gens as I learn Pathfinder). He was just helping me do a dry-run of the dungeon before I unleash it on my 7-year old gnomelet today .

Hello everyone. My name is Paweł ( Paul ). I live in Płock ( Plock ). I'm new here, but watch for a long time your forum. After a little difficulty with the registration finally I was able to join your group. From a very long time I do (even your own) cardboard figures. This is not a battle system but rather a la dioramas. The rest of what I will be writing a lot ... Please visit my website (Polish version) www.fabrykafigurek.pl . And of course welcome to Polish compatriots.

Very nice figures you have on your site ( example) - nice that you do both front and back for your figures. I'm betting lots of folks here would love these. Have you considered and option thick-black outlines for easier hand cutting? Here's an excerpt for how they would look before cutting. Great stuff!

Sure! Did we ever have an Introductions Board? I seem to recall everyone just wandering in and making themselves at home. Usually we just introduced ourselves in General Discussion, cardboard-warriors.proboards.com/board/75/general-discussion. I'm Dave from Kansas City. More of a model-builder than gamer.

I am near Seattle! Heyla! Some of you guys have seen me around. I nearly have a few items ready for the community. Dave keeps having sales and distracting me with more things to build. Then Glenn did it too. By the time I have their models built I am certain someone else will have something I can't live without.

Good to see that figures like. What to outline hm ... I was with him a great dilemma. I'm afraid I figure maybe a little "disappear". I know many of you prefer black outline. White seems to me (sorry for saying) cleaner. I have to think about this option again. I note that I cut by hand and even that comes out nicely. PS-soon new figures. I want to refresh a bit dusty topic of the Great War.

Do want all of us to re-introduce ourselves? I have that unfortunate incident with the temporary restraining order from Witness Protection regarding two melons, a bottle of Selsen Blue, and three turtles--and it wasn't my hotel room room, honest! So now I'll do a serious introduction: I'm Glenn Williams and am Finger and Toe Models and live north of LA on the Mojave Desert. I began by kitbashing Mel Ebble's models. Now I get to design and produce my own. Sometimes it's a dull routine (setting up pages, checking tabs), but mostly the best fun I've had since grad school. BTW, the origin of my business name goes back to a Forge World (Games Workshop) model of a sci-fi fort. The model cost more than I had just paid for a week for two in Venice. I figured I could produce models that wouldn't break gamers budgets. So . . . my card stock models won't cost you an arm and a leg--just a finger and toe.

Oh, ok then... .here i am I'm Fabio (but you can keep calling me "Parduz", as it is my real nickname from over 30 years, and my wife also call me that way). I'm a 43 years old, 1.80m tall, 120kg fat italian programmer, from a nice, old, etrurian and then roman city called (now) Bologna. I'm here just to steal free models , enjoying the nice and creative ppl of this community and occasionally you can find me parduzing some new figure (yes, i'll let to you to search why my nick is now a verb). You may also find me (with the exact same nick and avatar -since it is a photoshopped me-) wandering around in the web in various boardgame forums, like BGG, Heroscapers and some italian one.

Lol! Such threads always remind me of those anonymous "name your addiction, complex, or personal drama" groups. Ok. Here we go. Hello. I'm Krzysztof and I'm drawing, designing and making diffrent stuff of paper. (Chorus: Hello Krzysztof) I have no other addictions except for morning coffee but it does not ruin my marriage nor alienate my friends. I'm from not so ancient city as Parduz but still a 1000 years old Wroclaw. I highly hope that a day will come when I will laugh again at quotes like: And ehm... Squirmydad What's wrong with that?

I can't remember if I introduced myself. Anyway, here we go, I'm a 27 year old Canadian English teacher living in Japan. I'm also a website guy, so if you ever need anything website related, I might be able to help you. The other two Brave Adventures guys are a Canadian paramedic and an Argentinian Teacher in Training. I've been away from the hobby for a few months, getting married and moving, but I'm back now and hoping to release some more sets soon ^^

Hello! I'm Matt, one half of Armor Grid Games and Miniatures, creators of Armor Grid: Mech Attack! and Hex Grid: Battle Tiles. The other half is Dagger- He's mostly the rules and I'm mostly the miniatures (but our roles cross frequently). Work and my other main hobby (the mrs. and I have a small farm with five alpacas and nine chickens), have kept me really swamped for the last year (if you can help it, NEVER install your own fencing), but hopefully my lurker status is finished for now and I can get back to being an active member. When I'm not designing miniatures (mostly 2.5D minis), I'm a full-time exhibit designer at a children's museum. I also enjoy over-using parenthesis ( ).

Hi, mesper here! My name is Przemyslaw (shortened form Przemek). I'm from Warsaw, Poland and the guy behind PERMES Cardboard Models. I'd like to be known as illustrator and writer but actually I'm IT consultant and freelancer with history and paper modeling hobbies. Yes, I'm guilty of running too many projects at the same time... Although both RPG and 30mm scale wargaming minis are relatively mine new areas of interest, you may find some of my earlier Kartonowa Armia/Cardboard Army projects (60+ mm scale only) here: Kartonowe FigurkiWell I'm here because of great community, sharing hobby and fun.

I'm David from Iowa, and Mels models originally got me in to the paper model hobby and I have enjoyed it ever since. It's an excellent cheaper alternative to metal or resin models. I recently got married and am finishing up college this term in the microcomputer specialist graphics design area so it has kept me a little busy. I'm hoping to get an RPG going and visit here more often. I must say tho this is a great community with lots of helping hands!

Post by Dave on Jul 6, 2013 7:40:27 GMT -9
Hi everybody!
My name's Dave Graffam. I make paper models and stuff like that. I got started in paper models around 2006 when I was looking for some affordable terrain to use in my Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay games. I found the Fiddler's Green site, downloaded a ton of their models and scaled them up to 28mm. By the time I'd printed and assembled a couple dozen of them, I had a good grasp of how paper models were designed.
A couple years later, I started designing my own models and with help from Big Jim I got into publishing them. I now make a modest living as a paper model designer, and I have a lot of fun doing it.
I live on a farm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon with three chihuahuas. I don't do any farming, but I do bark at strangers.

ok I'm always late to the party and it seems this is no different. My real Name is Aaron unlike my avatar name ... It's confusing I know but you'll get it eventually I promise. I live here in Texas , no I don't own a pick up truck , no I don't have a shotgun or any guns for that matter ... no I didn't vote for George Bush ... yes I have a really tricked out Bbq grill, but that's not because I'm Texan LOL ok so I have been playing games like warhammer fantasy ,4ok and Hero Quest for over 20 years and I have always been looking at alternative stuff to the RIDICULOUSLY expensive pieces and terrain offered by Games Workshop so I ended up stumbling into paper craft which lead me to 4chan ( wow that sites messed up ) ... I digress, that site led me here and I have been here every since almost like what 2 month now? well you guys inspired me to start making my own paper soldiers and what not and though I'm completely new to this it fits my comic book style. I'm actually making a game right now but I can't talk about it until I'm ready to show stuff ... which I'm not quite there just yet. .... oh what the hell here's a sneak peek of Temporum Oblitus! just an update LOL

Hi. My name is Dave. I am the founder of GREY MATTER GAMES. (You can find my stuff on Facebook, RPGnow.com, Wargamevault.com and PaperMakeit!.com). I stumbled on Papercraft by accident, and it changed my life. I started with Finger and Toe, Microtactix, Ebbles (now Genet Models) and TOPO's models. I then found this forum, and I learned how to do these "correctly." I actually have been making paper figures since I was a kid, but only started doing actual gaming figures a couple years ago. I have worked with: DramaScape Torn World Reviej Minis Dark Skull Studios Inked Adventures Nights Immortal and many, MANY more (plus more on the horizon). I have done countless play testing, model testing and even some collaborations (I colored some other "real" artists' work). I am not really an "artist" but see myself as a game designer. Ok, I now return you to your regularly scheduled forum. Thank you for your attention.

Hello! My name is Drew and I'm a recovering Warhammer 40K player. My resources are few and my space is small so inexpensive buildings and figures that store flat let me enjoy gaming again. Thank you all for sharing your talents! These days I mostly play solo skirmish games from 2 Hour Wargames.
