Wow, she's gorgeous! Will you release her somewhere in the near future?

Wow, she's gorgeous! Will you release her somewhere in the near future? I thought about a team of steampunk adventurers, if I manage to make it I will publish it no doubt. What I doubt is whether it will be in near future. As I wrote in the Cannon Crew submission thread - I have very little time for this hobby lately.

0_0 wow! So beautifully detailed and great presentation! Very impressive! I think you probably set the bar for us on this one! I'm going to need to step things up if I want to compete in next years' competition!

I totally agree with the 'raising the bar' comment. She truly is a beautiful figure with detail, but even doing just a quick PrintScreen, slight rescale, then print, it came out very well. At arm's length on the table, the details still show. Very nicely done.

Madarchitect tell me if you yourself sketching the figurines from scratch? Everything is from scratch. Cannon crew was at first drawn by pencil then went through many different processes:) - details somewhere in my thread about the cannon itself. This lady was 100% digipainted in one go, with no earlier preparations with exception of excessive intake of caffeine:)

They are made in different sizes depending on the complexity of the design (and my mood). Then they are scanned and scaled to 30mm.

She is exquisite! I love the juxtaposition of Victorian and modern, and your originality in portraying a Steampunk character. Having read the original novels when they were first published (without being swept away in the ensuing obsession with the genre), I've been a tad disappointed by the repetition and regurgitation of tired tropes for such a young genre (gloomy colours limited to browns/plums/blacks, how many people would really be wearing goggles?, etc.) Not here - you've chosen a colour as bold as the adventuress herself, added a veritable plethora of historical details and costume inspirations, created a weapon and a backstory for her - nay, a whole fashionable ladies' magazine!. I am very impressed! Excellent submission! I can't wait for her to be released, and will have to find a game to play her in

Thanks for kind words WackyAnne. As for: I've been a tad disappointed by the repetition and regurgitation of tired tropes for such a young genre (gloomy colours limited to browns/plums/blacks, how many people would really be wearing goggles?, etc.) I never got that either. I have nothing against browns, blacks, goggles or whatever if it is justified, or explained by hm... something and limited to that explained/ justified case. There is a nice comic strip commentary of this "phenomenon" wandering the web. E.g. here.
