"So what do cardboard models look like next to regular minis?" A lot like this actually; The Giant Type 18 was actually built by Armorbimbo, who some of the longer-term members may remember, a few years ago he moved on from paper-modelling and sent me some of his fabulous Ebbles Miniatures builds. Some were in a state of decay and needed repairs and reglueing, like the 2X-sized Type 18. I was doing some cleaning this week, found the repair project, glued him up and took him out for a spin. The '18 has been printed on regular paper which was then glued to heavy card to make a very sturdy, but quite heavy (for paper) model. Here he is with a regular sized Jotun model;

I just printed (two of) the type 18, it never occurred to me to scale it to giant mecha proportions, it is magnificent that way! I'm making a small army of robots to put on the table in a future Reign of Steel table. The Ebbles saga of uppity robots serves very well for the task. some robots look just like the descriptions from the books come to life (paper model life, at least). The type 18 is a perfect match for one of the more common type of exterminator robot, as well as the supressor, despoiler, wraith and others. See this topic at the SJGames forum.For now I'm just printing and scoring them, when they're ready I'll put some photos up.
