This is another request for sets. I put the last one in the General Requests section, but I just didn't feel right putting it there since that's for commissions. Before I get to my main question I would really like to ask where the proper place to ask about existing stuff would be on these forums.
Now on to what I'm needing some advice with. I just spent a bunch of money on some Two Hour Wargames rulesets, and a few paper terrain pieces. I'm quickly approaching the point where I need to lay off the spending for a while. Before I do I need some quick build sci-fi stuff to fight around. I have some cool modular stuff, but I have so many things I need to build right now that I need something fast and easy to put together. I downloaded all the hoard stuff, and there are a few included there. I'll build some of those, but I also want a nice modular commercial set right now. I'm interested in Finger and Toe's Tango Prime: Core Set, or their Lima Zulu. I'm kind of leaning toward Lima Zulu, because I like the extra stuff it comes with. I'm also a little hesitant to get Tango Prime Core right now, because I will not be getting the other Tango Prime stuff right now. The problem is that I cant find any pictures of Lima Zulu.
Does anybody here have Lima Zulu? If so, can you give me a description of the buildings? From the store photo, I can kind of see what they look like, but I have no idea what sort of variety is included. It looks like the tower is made from box pieces, but I have no way of know if that's all that's included or not.

Tango Prime Core Set is primarily for building towers, The core module is 4"x4"x2" which can be stacked. A connector building is similar to the spoke building in Lima Zulu. Of the two, if you're not going to expand, I'd recommend Lima Zulu. Now, of course, I want you to buy the Tango Prime Core Set, then go hog wild on the expansions.

Thanks! Rest assured that I plan on getting pretty much all of Tango Prime and Slagtown. I just wont get it all at once. After seeing whats in Zulu Prime, I think I will actually start with Tango Prime Core. I can probably swing a couple sets actually. I like the added possibilities the Flak Tower gives.

How about that Slagtown discounted bundle? I think the three sets for something like 12US$ is a good value. Right now I think they are a bit overpriced.

For that price I would have to go for it, but I cant find any bundles.

I'm not seeing that bundle either. If you are about out of money and needing to have 'stuff' to fill in, you can always check out Topo's I-Kubes. Very fast to put together (also fold flat for storage). www.toposolitario.com/workshop/ikube.html#galeriaNot that I would ever dissuade a person from purchasing from Glenn, but when you start running short of cash and time, these are really helpful.

Give me some time this morning, and I'll see about discounting and re-bundling the old models.

OK, the three Slagtown products should be $2.00 less. There is a bundle of all three (Eden, Salvage, and Junkyard) for $10.00. Now we'll see if my uncaffeinated brain did it right!
Son of a gun. I did it right!

Oh, wow! Thanks Glenn! I grabbed the bundle. Now I'm not sure If I will be getting Tango Prime this month or not, but I couldn't pass on Slagtown.
Thanks for the IKube link Vermin King. I had actually grabbed most of the stuff on that site before, and have it sitting in a folder on my PC. I didn't get the IKubes though. Never really paid attention to them actually. When I first came across that site, I wasn't planning on using paper miniatures for wargaming. I really liked making paper models, and found the site while looking for some more to build. I did realize that the vehicles were for use in paper miniatures games, but I had no idea at the time that there were infantry available, so I didn't think you could actually make full paper armies.
For the money thing, its not so much that I don't have money right now. It just that I have a monthly budget I need to stick too, and Its not a good idea for me to spend all the money that's set aside for entertainment, and eating out, at the very start of the month. I want to see how things go before I start getting more sets. I only have so much impulse control though, so when people start dangling awesome deals in front of me, I go for it.

Oh, I understand. We all have to stay in budget.
You had said you were needing something quick to fight around, and that is exactly what IKubes were designed to be. Would I want a whole table of them? No, but they make excellent extra pieces.
I've tried a couple times to cut them out and build them 'at speed', like in the video, and failed. Once cut out, storing them in a manila folder works great and they take practically no time to fold them together.

They look more like shipping containers than buildings, so I may look through my other stuff for doors and windows that look close enough to glue to the Ikubes.

I believe they are supposed to be converted shipping containers or pre-fabs. Some of TommyGun's and Marco's models are archived at www.modelpaperworld.com/en/5-sci-fi, if you are in need of some other do-dads. Who couldn't use a few blast barriers?
