Dunno if any of you are interested (or care for that matter), but there is this thing called aethercon that is an online gaming convention (not online like it is about online gaming, but online as in it is a virtual con for tabletop RPGs, it's all on the webs man). Sounds like a weird concept to me, mostly games through roll 20 and other online tabletop services. They also have art displays (which amounts to free desktop wallpapers) and some vendor stuff, which I am guessing is going to be discounts. I doubt there is any kind of virtual free schwag. But honestly I have no idea what it is like, I just sort of randomly found out about it on the web yesterday. Still seems like an odd concept to me, but it is the second annual, so they did it one time and decided it was worth repeating. And the price is right (totally free) Anyway its Nov. 15-17 (F-S-S). Not sure if I will be able to participate, but it is a curiosity, so I may check it out if I have time over that weekend.. www.aethercon.com/a2/

My first reaction when I saw the thread title was "A virtual convention on the internet?" Then I just felt stupid, because its obviously got to a convention for online gaming. Turns out, its not so obvious after all.
I think its an interesting Idea. I'll check it out if I can remember that far ahead. I like the name choice. Its works really well for what it is.
