Here are some cutfiles for the four pages of the High Elf Tower. High Elf Tower Cutfiles.zip (15.35 KB) My cutter is still churning through the last page, but I've eyeballed them and they look good. Feel free to yell at me if you find I've botched something! Hopefully by the weekend I'll have some lousy camera phone picture of the tower built!

I just finished assembling pages 1 - 3, but page 4 cut terribly. It's the kind of bad cut like it was too dark in the room and the reg marks didn't get read properly, or the blade is getting dull and it slipped or something. I dunno. Everything else has cut fine. Assembly is a breeze - I might make a bunch of these along with some of the tall WWG trees to surround them...

Can one of you please confirm page #4? Once it's confirmed clear I'll bundle it with the pdf on the downloads page. Thanks guys.

I'll try to find time tonight to give it another go. Three cheers for the fact that the roof is removable! I was able to assemble the poorly cut one (thanks to liberal "edging" with my Tombow pen set) so I at least ended the night with a complete model.

I think I have an idea of what happened. The original file has a lot of text and stuff that is very close to the registration marks. I made a couple recolors of the roof this morning, and in the process, I removed the text (sorry - I had to remove Jim's head, too) and they cut a-ok. If you wanted to include these in the download, I'd probably offer to reformat the pages and rebuild a PDF with reg marks already on the pages. It also seems that the images I'm getting out of the PDF aren't 8.5x11", which threw me off. It looks more like 7.17x10.13" according to GIMP. :-P For my own use, I'm going to redo the whole PDF so that the pages are 8.5x11" with reg marks built in, and I'll slide the stuff around on page 4 to fit safely within the reg mark area. Tell me what you'd like, squirmydad, and I'll see what I can do.

What I really like is when other people do all the work and all I have to do is approve. That tower is one of his older pieces before robo-cutters made their big splash so there will need to be some reformatting of the base pdf to bring it in line with current standards. If you'd like to do this then I will happily approve of your efforts. But don't do it if you're not having any fun. Thanks for this.

When I can share useful stuff with others, I'm having fun. I'll PM you a dropbox link tonight! I'll have two PDFs for you - one with the original art, and another that features a handful of roof recolors. Ooh, I might take a stab at a multi-layer PDF to allow for a couple coloring options!
