Seeing the interest generated by another thread on this subject, I thought it might be worth noting that more are available from Scalescenes as well. Most of the Scalescenes models are paid-for downloads, not freebies, however, although there are a couple of free downloads on the Rail Scenes page, a station platform and a low-relief warehouse. As you would expect, most of the models are designed for scale railway use, and most are available in OO-gauge and N-gauge PDF formats, with various options for the physical appearance of the buildings involved. There's also a free one-page PDF downloadable scale ruler, set up for N, OO and O-gauge. As well as building kits, there is a whole range of single-page floor and wall textures, a set of interior furniture, another set of interior floor, wall and ceiling surface textures (including rugs, fireplaces and clocks), which would allow expansion and superdetailing of many of the models, plus a page of graffiti that can be printed onto clear decal paper. All are "modern British" in style, so later nineteenth century onwards, primarily.

An update to my earlier posting, as I discovered on further checking of the Scalescenes website that although they're not heavily publicised, there are some additional freebies available as add-ons to some of the model kits, and only listed on the model's page - for example, a garage pack for their 1930s Semi-detached Houses. Worth hunting around for if these are of interest, and you'd like to see some different samples. Plus something else I hadn't realised on my initial investigation, is that many of the building sets come with full internal features and decoration, walls, ceilings, doors, and such like, including some of the shops and offices, plus external graffiti and/or posters. The Station Structures set under "Railscenes" even comes with a page of newspapers to make into folded bundles for the railway news-stand! Maybe of greatest interest to modellers with an eye for detail, but if so, some models might be worth buying just for these "extras" alone!
