Well, I have been playing around with some super hero concepts for quite some time. I posted some of them here a year or two ago. NO clue where the original post was. Well, the concept is simple enough (without giving too much away): There was a terrible accident. Some emergency responders showed up on the scene. The small band averted the crisis. When exposed to ____________, they found themselves changing. They became a super hero team. I will post some of the WIPs I am working on. Here is the first preview: FIREMAN!

Here is another sneak peek of my upcoming set of figures. This is OPERATOR. She is a psychic. She is the "leader" of the group. She can sense where trouble is going to happen. She also has some telekinetic powers... and she is visually impaired. Jean Grey meets Daredevil? What do you think?

Working a little on my set of super heroes, again. You saw FIREMAN and OPERATOR... here is STRETCHER. He is an Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) that ended up getting elasticity/elongation. (He doesn't have plasticity. He can stretch, but NOT change shape). I am thinking about giving him the name Dr. Richard Reed. He can't create pocket dimensions. Darn it, he's a doctor, not a physicist.

Stretcher . . . I see what you did there. You sure you don't want to go with "Elastic Bandage Man?"

One requires community college training, or thereabouts, the other requires a level of commitment that can only be described as insane, and is only undertaken by the sado-masochistic and/or egomaniacal. I should know, my sister's about to embark on her residency

You are correct, WackyAnne! I used that as a little bit of a pun. Instead of Dr. Reed Richards, (a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic), I called him "Dr. Richard Reed." Sure, you got Stretcher, but missed "Fireman" (like the Human Torch). Next up will be PATROLMAN (a RoboCop-esque law enforcement officer). I am still trying to hammer out the "big" guy. Keeping with themes (and puns as is common with me), I am thinking of "Jaws of Life" or "Wrecker." I am thinking of a cyborg that looks like Hulk. Super human strength... cyber arm implant. In case I didn't mention it, the team is called the EMERGENCY SQUAD, and they travel around in the SQUAD CAR (which is half Mobile Command Center/ tank).

Love them all! Love you sense of humor and your fine sense of the absurd, as well! Can't wait to see the whole team! Too bad my game is solidly fantasy based. I may have to get them just to put on display!

Oh, I am a HUGE super hero fan! I can tell you the alias, abilities and weaknesses of nearly all (mainstream) super heroes, and quite a few lesser known ones. I am funny like that! I did that a few years back when I took Jim's WOLVERINE tank and came up with a couple variants (by kit-basing them) and called them the "Logan" Tank and the "Hazlett" Tank. Most people never got the references. That is the draw-back of constantly trying to be "clever and witty" with subtle puns. Unless people are on the same page as you, they miss it altogether. Unfortunately, most people that know me aren't even in the same BOOK!

I used to have a ton of the old X-Men comics (as well as Spiderman, Dr. Strange, Witchblade and several others and the cross-overs) all in protective glassine bags and all! Five boxes full in all. How much of a nerd does that make me? My ex has them now Oh well, water under the bridge...

I feel your pain! My ex ended up with my CD collection, and some were even signed by the artists. Oh, well. She got my CD's, and I got the kids. Fair trade. Oh, I also got all of my specialty knives (for cooking). She got the burial plots. I told her that I would use the knives the same day... I asked that she did the same with the plots. WHAT? I'm not bitter, why do you ask? ANY WAY... I have a "new" wife (of 6 years), and even some new kids. All in all, I consider myself much further ahead in life. Sorry to hear about the comics. Who knows, maybe you will get a free copy of the the EMERGENCY SQUAD when it's released. (Hey, it's what I do...)

Well, at long as you don't use the knives the same day she needs the burial plots, then you'll be okay

Good point (pardon the pun), WackyAnne! Though I understand the temptation! Lol!
I am happy to report, Mr. K, that I, too, have a new husband, 2 1/2 years (he's still all shiny new!) and more kids and grand kids (by proxy)! Also, he didn't get the set of 3 graphic novels my daughter gave for Christmas one year: The Legend of Drizzt, Books 1 -3, Which were later signed by the author, himself, when I met him at Auntie's Bookstore!
Add to that, my kids are finally seeing for themselves what he is really all about, and I never said a word!
Sometimes, life just works out!
BTW: That's a very sweet thing to do, Mr. K!

Marriage in itself is a heroic endeavour. While my husband and I are still together (and will in fact be celebrating 20 years together this May, 15 of them married), we watched both of our parents' marriages disintegrate and explode as our relationship was just beginning. It's great when second marriages work out, but that can't erase all the hurt and anger from the first, unfortunately. If it was that easy, there wouldn't be that old saying " To err is human, to forgive divine"...

Very true! I look at it this way, I spent 32 years paying the piper and protecting my kids. Once they moved out and I was sure of their success, I figured it was my turn to enjoy life. And that's what I'm doing now with my new husband. He and I are so in tune it can be spooky sometimes, and yet there's enough difference between us to keep it interesting.
I wake up happy to see my husbands smiling face everyday. He makes me laugh everyday, I'm warm, secure, and well contented, what more could I want?
...except for more stuff to make for my dungeon, muahahahahahaha!

Ok. I will work on that... I just have a few other projects to wrap up first. Like THIS:

Is that your team's Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV)?

No. That is a light hover tank coming for a different game (Era Of War). I have some stuff that has been in production for about a year and a half. I am just getting around to it (and of course I am getting a promotion at my "non-hobby related job)... so WHO knows when this will see the light of day. For what it's worth, the "SQUAD CAR" is much, MUCH cooler. It will be a DOOZIE to develop into a 3D model. :/ But once it's done....

Oooo! Can't wait to see it! AND ... Hurray for you and congratulations on the promotion! (Fireworks, a band marching, confetti floating in the air, crowds cheering...) Sorry, couldn't help myself.
