You made me misty. One of the guys at my weekly game I met in '86. I get together to game twice a year with junior highschool buddies from '79? '80? Yep, crazy amounts of sweet, sweet water flows under the gaming bridge.

My group meet each and every Friday at 6 pm in a room of what was once our local church (most of us no longer live in the original neighborhood). The group has done so ever since 1984, with me joining in 1989. I had a break with the group for 5 years while I was living away from my city, but re-joined when I moved back. It's a funny thing to remember that we started off as one of the church's youth groups and are now considered "the old men", with the kids of one of my gaming buddies right now being about as old as we were when we started gaming. And all the years that have past are full of fond memories. For example, I remember that when we started playing Warhammer 40k in about 1993 or 94, there was not one weekend, when I wouldn't come home as early 6 or 7 am, buying my family's weekend ration of croissants and bread rolls in a local bakery... We all moved twice or more during the years, but as long as we have access to that room in the church (easy, since one of my buddies works as the church's sexton), you'll be able to find us there each and every Friday night, come what may...
