Once upon a time, there was a small independent gaming company that had three laptops: a laptop with a HUGE hard-drive and processor; one with a decent hard-drive and processor; and one with a little bitty hard-drive and SLOW processor.
In the kingdom where the company was established was a beautiful queen, the fairest in all the land! She had one small flaw. She wasn't good with technology.
One day, she had the " mommy" computer, and accidentally spilled a glass of water on the keyboard. This didn't prevent it from working, it just fried the keyboard.
The second incident was when she dropped the "daddy" computer... The NEW computer that was top-of-the-line and held a year's worth of work on it.
The owner of the company was forced to make the "mommy" computer his primary one. He bought an external keyboard , and this worked for a while.
Last night, I noticed that the laptop wouldn't turn on. It is dead, too.
What about the third "baby" machine? It is OLD (like WIN ME old). I call it a "Pot of Coffee" machine. You open a program and by the time you make a pot of coffee, it *might* be open.
I was almost done with a new set of figures by a good friend and INCREDIBLE artist, but that is going to be put on hold indefinitely.
So, for the mean time, I am dead in the water, and will NOT be releasing anything for a while.
I still have my phone so I can check in from time to time.
Cheers.
David

A dwarf, hearing the incredible loss of that small company, commented: "I know some of us, down in the Forge, are building strong enclosures against that lovely fairies.... perhaps they have one for this unfortunate friend"
Just joking a bit... sorry, mate.

As the owner of the company felt a strong sensation of despair, the beautiful queen sends a missive that reads, "That laptop gets VERY hot. I used to have the same problem with it when it was mine. You have to remove the battery, and blow on it, and it will start working again." SO.... I feel like a fool, and I am happy to announce that I am sending this message on my computer. The current set is still on hold for the time being... SO, I will find another project to occupy myself until we can iron out the bumps with this set. UNRELATED: Tomorrow I am starting my new position at my job. The same pay, and MUCH more stress... but I will be a member of management, and will be considered "full-time." No more two-hour work days! This is both "good" and "bad." I worked hard for the promotion, but it means less time to create figures/games. Please note: When I say "less," that doesn't necessarily mean "no." Ok, thanks again for your thoughts. I will let you return to your regular scheduled life, while I slowly back away in embarrassment.

A great relief. I hope the promotion can somehow lead to a more reliable computer for you. Congrats.

If you lived closer you would be welcome to use my computer. Tons of storage, fast, massive cpu. Built it myself. (Patting self on back)
Ah, well. I wish I could help.
Congrats on the promotion, I hope it leads to good things for you!

Thank you for the thoughts! I am a month (or so) away from a new computer! I am going to make sure THIS one is taken care of, that's for sure! Needless to say, I have a BUNCH of projects int he works. I just need to iron out some "tricky" situations. All good things.
