Glad to hear/read that WackyAnne. Reading such feedback really helps to put the effort into upcoming sets. (Although criticism is also always welcome:) ) More ideas to come...

I know your cannon crew were already entered in the papercuts competition as a figure set, but I think it would still be allowed to enter them as part of a diorama . . .

I just recently watched the entire run of Midsomer Murders, and while much of the architecture could easily be covered by Dave Graffam and Tom Tullis, your wattle walls and other fencing would allow me to recreate even more of the setting. Of course, they'll be even more useful for the fantasy medieval games and such that I _actually_ run

I love madarchitect's fences and walls. Another thing to add to my growing list!

Hey! madarchitect - you've apparently protected this PDF from being broken apart (pages extract) by Acrobat - so it is tough to create cutfiles for each page without having to export 26 pages every time I want to customize, print and cut something. Could you turn that irritating "feature" of PDF's off? It provides no real protection against copying and makes it very hard for us to use your wonderful product. As it is, I won't be creating cutfiles for sharing as a result of how difficult this makes it. :-( Oh, it'd also be handy if each page of fences would allow the disabling of the logo to make it easier to insert registration marks... Thanks!

This is weird. I've put no protection like this, and had no problem in extracting pages from the source PDF. Is seems it was OBS processing engine that put some extraction blockade on it. I'll try to figure that out. As for the logo and legend I'll try to fix that maybe on weekend. Give me some time. BTW I think the word "very" is a slight exaggeration. It is not hard to cut out without robocutter, I've checked it experimentally . (Sorry I couldn't resist) There is not much to it. Pencil sketches scanned into photoshop, scaled to 30mm and drawn by hand with graphic tablet. One layer for lineart, second for colour. No fancy filters or other effects.

OBS locks the PDFs when it puts an ID stamp in them (it's pointless to add the stamp without locking them, or the pirate could just scrub the stamp). While that has some value to it, it's usually better to just put them in a zip.

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't intentional, madarchitect. :-) I guess that's another piece of of vendor arcana/best-practice knowledge that cardboard warriors is great for passing along! Let me rephrase my request: "Could you please update your kit(s) to be a zipfile instead of PDF, to compensate for OBS's watermarking policy, which makes kitbashing difficult? Thanks!"

...Oh, it'd also be handy if each page of fences would allow the disabling of the logo to make it easier to insert registration marks... I've re upped the file with legend on a "turnoffable" layer. For now I will keep it in PDF however. The main downside of ZIP-ing is that it does not allow quick preview feature annd I believe it is very useful to be able to see exactly "what's in the box". Especially for people willing to risk hard earned money for an widely unknown "emerging publisher" as I am . P.S. oldschooldm I've PMed you re page extraction .

madarchitect Thanks for updating the PDF. Interesting catch-22 about the PDF v. ZIP tradeoff for previews, I hadn't noticed that and can respect your tradeoff decision. I guess this is why some folks point to their own previews or include them in the product description. Signing/"locking" the PDF should be an option at OBS, as it really provides absolutely no protection and doesn't work for other (ZIP) files. Keep on making such innovative models!

I was watching Rob Roy lately. This is the effect. Scottish blackhouse using MFnW elements. Description and some more images of this build here.I think it is getting close to the full potential of this set . How do you like that? I still have some spare prints to make more fun stuff, but I intend to focus more strictly on horse and modular outpost now. (Unless some other stupid idea come to my mind )

This was NOT a stupid idea! I'm glad you think so .. What I meant with "stupid" was rather - "Random great ideas that keep me from working on and finishing new models"
