I really love these figures. Everything is gorgeous. drawings, colors, poses ...
The overall quality is so high that far exceeds the average quality of a commercial product ( Ok, here in this forum, the quality is always very high, even for commercial products ).
Sadly, for me, these figures don't have a back artwork. But this is an artist's choice. And he generously shares his works for free. So no complaints.
For some reason that I can't figure out ( probably because of the author's artistic hand, a very great hand imho ) these figures remind me very much the "Cardhunter" figures ( I really like these too ).

Thank you so much for the links to the Cardhunter figures, they are marvellous and a great resource to have. Who knows when a particular class of character might be needed in a hurry and being able to print off a suitable Cardhunter mini just might save the day
Just roll the darn dice. Pixel pusher and proud of it.
Finally got round to making up some of these figures. After a bit of experimentation I settled on printing them at 150% which seems to scale them quite nicely with okumarts' Darkfast Dungeon range.
First off, three bugbears. Slightly different in style to David Okum's - plus I think I printed his on the best setting on my printer, while the PH only got "standard".... - but measure up nicely I think.
I also made up three of his "Heroes of Oz" set. Don't really think the blue edging on "Toto the Water Dog" really worked - the only blue marker I had and I think it is too dark for the effect I was after.
EDIT - again shown with one of David Okum's adventuring types for comparison.
Yes they have mirrored backs - but I guess that mean I can turn them around and introduce my players to left-handed bugbears!!

There was a time I would have jumped in and done a bunch of these backs, but I'm going to be busy until September and I'm not really feeling inspired right now. It is good to know this site is out there.
On the other hand, maybe it's the herd that is crazy.
I did download GIMP in the past mproteau (Paper Realms) but as I have no previous experience with Photoshop or anything similar I was totally working in the dark. Ended up getting frustrated and uninstalling it. Need someone to talk me through it and give me the "idiot's guide"...
Usually I prefer paper minis with front and back art. This is now common knowledge.
But I think that if a perfect miniature paper didn't include a rear art these would be perfect.
design and color are great in this case. Really great. No ifs and buts.
These sets are free and so I think that there are dozens of downloads. But then I see his patreon page. It is almost deserted today, and it was completely deserted three days ago. When speaking enthusiasts are a lot but then ... not even a single buck ( if only for a few months ) will be invested to support, help, say thanks ... This is not a purchase but I'm pretty sure that if most of these sets were sold many who now read would buy any of them ...
So I sometimes do not know whether to be puzzled or even just a bit sad for my passion.
And for now I'm a little ashamed if I have to continue the discussion about the back art.
marcpasquin: After Goscinny died, people thought it would be the end of Asterix as he was the writing part of the team but Uderzo managed to keep it going and eventually pass on the torch to new teams that still produce albums to this day.

marcpasquin: Asterix was such a big part of my childhood. Not only did I read all the albums but every years the cartoon movies were part of "Ciné-Cadeau", a holiday time programming block on Télé-Québec that showed animated movies for kids.

lightning: I cannot count how often I read Asterix and Obelix as a kid. Loved how it always ended at a big town dinner around a huge bonfire and the troubadour was gagged somewhere so he couldn't sing. Good times!

Parduz: I still love that comics. Some of them (around the middle age of Asterix production) have some of the best story/dialogues/jokes ever.

squirmydad: God I LOVED those books as a child. Sorry to see him pass.

wyvern: RIP Albert Uderzo, co-creator with René Goscinny of the Asterix comic books. [And no, he died from a heart attack.]

Vermin King: Trump is an S-hole, but Clinton should be in prison. I don't like Biden, but at least it's a step up from 2016

Vermin King: Well, my efforts to reboot 2020 haven't worked, so I probably won't try the others. BTW, I have always said I am an equal opportunity politician basher. Trump is undoubtedly an ass, but I still have to look at him being the lesser of two evils.

Parduz: well, then may i ask if we go pre 1994 so we could get rid of Bungasconi...

ignatious: perhaps a system restore on 2020 might work, and if we go pre 2016 maybe we could get rid of the trumpvirus.
Mar 22, 2020 8:19:43 GMT -9
Vermin King: I tried, but it hasn't worked so far. Maybe I will try again
Mar 22, 2020 4:46:23 GMT -9
Parduz: pls reboot the 2020, then.
Mar 22, 2020 1:07:14 GMT -9
Vermin King: Rebooting the whole system fixed it

marcpasquin: @vermin King to be fair, different hairstyle, costume type and about 15 years in between the 2 roles.

Vermin King: I feel like an idiot. Didn't realize that Vanessa (Deadpool) was Inara Serra until last night. Duh
