Hi all, Since I first started paper miniatures I have been looking for the best basing option. I have tried all the options I can find but when I saw the clear bases from Litko I knew that is the way I wanted to go. Now I live in the UK and the postage fees looked very high, so I contacted this company www.warbases.co.uk/. This is the prototype they have sent me. And a few shots with some of my favourite paper minis. I will definitely be ordering batch now. Also they make them to order so you can have any size, shape or colour. Hope this helps my fellow Cardboard Warriors in the UK and Europe. Jackmatt.

Jackmatt: If you want the "real deal" Litko bases, contact their official European distributor, based in Fife, Scotland Figures In Comfort. A quick check of their online lists this evening didn't show the paper mini bases there, but I've found in the past that if it's on the Litko website (paper mini acrylic bases are here on the Litko site for anyone hunting them), they can order them and usually have them with you in at most a few weeks. That also has the advantage that they sometimes will start stocking such items as a matter of routine. It happened with a couple of items they "special ordered" for me, including the Invisible Monsters, which they now have listed among their normal stock lists.

I contacted figures in comfort and got no reply. Warbases however sent me the prototype within a week of my first message, also I am very happy with their product and like the idea of supporting a UK manufacture. Jackmatt.

Apparently, I need to go back to Litko's page. I recently ordered some clear bases for my Pandora and Deadzone figs. These look great for paper.

Had some of these made by war-bases.co.uk/. I placed the order Tuesday delivered Thursday, and they where custom made to my specification, this is fantastic customer service. Also had some swarm bases made.

Those bases are great! I really like the swarm base, and by getting them over there you save some import duties. Nothing wrong with shopping local. I use litko bases for all of my paper stuff. There was a thread somewhere on here about them. I got them back in 2009 and they are all I use. I got the clear acrylic because I like how it will allow any terrain to show through and I dont have to have a million different "Terrain" bases. One word of advice though. Make sure you blackout the figure name on the tabs or they will show through the edges. (kind of annoying and can pull you out of the atmosphere we work hard to create) I ordered 3 or 4 hundred octagonal bases in 20mm, 25mm, 30mm,40mm, 50mm, and also large and small pill. I dont know if they list octagonal on the website, but they can make them. I had mine made special so that I could use them for games that called for square basing and others that wanted round. Here are some shots of them in "Action" : 50mm and 40mm large pill and small pill 30mm, 25mm and 20mm

Hmmmm...couldn't we print circles on transparencies, cut them out and super glue to the figure? (Just got like a hundred clear Litko bases and can't wait to use them)

Unless you like to store flat. And these have a little more weight to avoid "the sneeze effect."

Hmmmm...couldn't we print circles on transparencies, cut them out and super glue to the figure? (Just got like a hundred clear Litko bases and can't wait to use them) super glue tends to get cloudy on transparencies and clear acrylic, unless you A) have a specific kind (which typically won't adhere to paper) or B) are incredibly patient and careful, and don't smear an iota of it. I've had many an architectural model ruined before I learned this lesson

Thought I might drop these guys a line myself.
Can I ask what diameter the ones in your sample photos are??? And did you order other sizes from them?

Where are you based, migibb? I found, that having the Litko bases sent through their UK collaborators ended up at appr. the same price as the ones that Warbases offers, shipping included (I'm in continental Europe, the exact same is probably not the case inside UK). That pretty much puts it down to a matter of which type of slots you like. Unless you want that swarm base, of course, I don't think Litko makes those.

ive gotten these 20 mm card stands from blankdice.co.uk/Board_game_accessories/23/ and they work great. ive only gotten about 50 of the clear ones so far, but im going to get about 10 each of the multicolored ones, because im very slow witted in the "keeping track of which enemy is which on the table" department

Those look very similar to the ones that pasiphilo includes with his pre-cut minis (which I bought a whole pile of in his recent sale). I have been using them for my others too - I may just pick some of them up. Thanks for the link cowboycentaur.
