Oh wow! so you have copies of all my old stuff. Yes please post my old files as I always intended them to be freely available. Oh this is wonderful (wipes a tear), I thought I'd lost all that artwork forever. And it's absolutely wonderful to be here. I've always found paper modelling folk to be the nicest people on the internet. Edit: I love your Small Bird Sky Galleon

Now that I've wiped my eyes and got myself a cup of tea I can explain what happened to all my old files. Over the years I'd accumulated a collection of old computers that I used to create most of my paper minis artwork. My main tools were MS.Paint and Paintshop, though I did sometimes use the paint program bundled with Star Office as well (now I really am showing my age!). Realising that I had an awful lot of creative work of one kind or another on various aging hard drives as well as floppy discs I purchased a brand new 300Gb Maxtor external hard drive and methodically started to back up everything. Unfortunately I was to find out later that Maxtor hard drives did not have a great reputation for reliability and when my new drive blew up 6 months later I couldn't believe what had happened. A local computer specialist tried his best to recover my data, only he wasn't successful as everything was a corrupted mess. Things were complicated by me developing this illness I have. I had to take early retirement and I could no longer afford to keep my paper modelling website going. By the time I was able to start thinking about how much of my creative efforts had survived it was far too late as most of the old discs would no longer read and what website backup files I had were not up to date. The one bright spot was that all but one of my manuscripts had survived on other media (yes I write) and of the missing one I did still have the prologue and some notes so it wasn't quite a total loss. So just a few minutes ago when squirmydad said he had a significant amout of my old paper modelling work safe on one of his hard drives I burst into tears. Happy tears, - us women are a bit strange like that. Mind you there were some paper minis I created that I'm glad haven't survived such as the Goblin flame cannon I created based around a flatulent Troll; - that would be far too embarrassing if it came to light again.

I have a few of your silk road elves that I picked up from some random site - probably using the wayback engine - so I would love to see whatever else of your stuff, fantasy or S18898, can be re-discovered.

Wow amazing, my own little paper model corner It's been lovely to look over my old files and get to know them again. Thank you so much squirmydad Now the first thing I should tell you is that I have actually built all these models in white paper except for the riverboat as it was somewhat of an experiment and I intended to make paddle boxes and some other bits for it, but didn't get that far. I was using 20mm scale minis at the time so these models are highly likely to be for figures that size. The next thing is that the Aphid and the circular flying gunboat are intended to be put together using glued butt joints and some parts may need to be trimmed to fit. The Aphid decking should be laid over foamboard by the way or it won't go together properly. The Aphid sheets went through quite a few revisions so I'm going to need to look them over closely to make sure these are the ones my half built 'proper' Aphid model is based on. Thirdly my parts sheets for my models often have spare bits and extra pieces on them which could be confusing. Fourthly my models are short on instructions so if you're confused consider the fact that I might be too as I haven't seen these sheets for a while. Once my new printer arrives I'll do some builds and take pictures to give you some idea of what these models should look like.

What! - have my Silk Road Elves survived somewhere I would really like to find those so I could download them. I will keep checking back through my archives to see if I can find anything else though. I seriously have my doubts that the flatulent Troll cannon has survived in any shape or form. Sorry gents.

Well I have uploaded the few that I found to squirmydad's thread of your stuff for you to download. I honsetly can't remember where I found them - was during one of my many trawls off the deepest darkest internet when I first got into this whole paper minis thing. Not done any test builds or anything of them so I have no idea what they are like in terms of definition. Would love to see what you might do with them now.....

I must make a confession though, my Elf riders were largely constructed by taking certain pieces of clip art and old historic line drawings and then cutting and pasting them together. A fair bit of image mending and then colouring was needed to make that actually work, but as I needed this army in a hurry for a particular battle I'd booked with another club member quick and dirty methods were very much needed. The Elf skirmishers are all my own work though.

The definition and clarity of line is actually very good. Truth be told it turned out better than I hoped when I printed out an army's worth of Elves on the eve of battle.

They look great like that! I'm just not sure if the resolution of the pics that I actually found is any good for printing them. Last night I couldn't remember the word 'resolution', no matter how hard I tried.....

Once my new printer arrives I'll do some trial printouts and compare them with the first batch of minis I made all those years ago. Hopefully they will be Ok.

I didn't organize miniatures I downloaded way-back-when as well as I did models, I'll try some hard-drive spelunking this weekend though and see if I can find any of your other works.

I did some messing around with low res sample files to make them look a little better for 'show and tell'. The proper solution for me though is to start from scratch and redo them in a revised edition. I was never entirely happy with these she-Elf archers. They were rushed and I think it shows. These I always liked and if their original artwork comes to light it won't take much to freshen them up. I did start to work on making proper backs for them, but didn't get very far.

This is a not very good photo of my much neglected part built Aphid Aerial Gunboat for Space 1889. My good camera died so I had to use my cellphone.

A poor quality cellphone photo of my first trial assembly Armored Car model from 2002. Somehow it managed to survive intact despite having been tossed into a bits box several years ago. The minis in the foreground are 28mm. From memory I made a lot of different variations of this model and most of them seem to have survived in the VSF AC file squirmydad rescued for me.

The VSF model collection has been added to the site; www.onemonk.com/guest-dl.htmlAnne Welborn/Wildagreenbough made her VSF models in 2002 and are mostly hand-drawn and scanned creations that will take some extra fiddling to assemble. Unfortunately I only have the one Armored Car picture and I would appreciate build pics of the rest. These models are a big part of what inspired me to start designing and building my own papermodel VSF creations.

Where might we find more wildagreenbough creations? Last night I went through a lot of her posts, and discovered that many images are broken or non-existent. I remember I used to have a fairly large stash on the dead computer, but it is dead.

Funny you should ask, the other files I have from her are the Silk Road Elves, which I've uploaded here; onemonk.com/guest-dl.htmlI talked to her yesterday to make sure this hosting was okay, and it is, but she no longer does papermini/papermodel work as she has trouble holding sharp objects.
