Hello, Folks! Your friendly, neighborhood mad-scientist here. I know I have a tendency to allow myself to be pulled into a lot of different directions at once. I like to change things up a bit. This is something I have been playing around with in my mind for quite some time, and I finally got some prototypes that I was able to play around with. You may say that you have seen top-down vehicles before... what makes these different? They are 75mm (3") hexes that are scaled for 25/28mm figures! What's MORE, is these hexes are used on a modular map that uses 75mm hexes. Anyone else see the potential in this? Entire SQUADS of figures moving together. Ranges are measured in HEXES, and not inches. You don't need a tape measure or something to judge LOS! Finally, the finishing touch... the STATS will be ON the token!!! No more printing out cards to match up to the figures. You simply place the tokens on the map, and move them around. You can see the facing and, if applicable, FIRING arcs right on the token ITSELF!! "Brilliant?" You're too kind! By the way, these are just proxy demos. I am negotiating with an old friend about some insane hand-drawn top-downs!

Well. I don't know much of anything really about wargaming, but I'll bite The top downs look great, CGI doesn't bother me at all with terrain or vehicles, because no uncanny valley effect. However, I must say I almost always like hand-drawn stuff best. A question about the tokens - will the stats be on the top view (potentially obscuring the art) or on the bottom (checking as you move, or whatever)?

Seems a plan for something like "paperclix"

The stats shouldn't interfere with the artwork at all. I will go to great lengths to make sure that doesn't happen.
