For more graphics. One corrected and the other new. What do you think? Which style is better for figurines? These are different methods of making figures.

For more graphics. One corrected and the other new. What do you think? Which style is better for figurines? In the end it's just a matter of personal preferences. For example, I don't like this new graphic style of yours. I preferred a more realistic drawing, like your figures of a few years ago. But precisely this doesn't mean anything, and an author evolves as it is more spontaneous ( imho this spontaneity that is lacking, you are evolving your figures with a very technical study looking at other authors but lacking spontaneity ).

I wanted to go in the direction of a comic, a cartoon with a bit of realism. I always thought that real characters did not succeed me. They are stiff and expressionless. Normal. Hence the idea for a new look.

Hence the idea for a new look. The most important thing, Pavaro, is that you follow your spontaneous path. It doesn't matter if others don't like it. But it is very important for an artist to go to his own way in a spontaneous way. I understand your explanation very well, and I thank you for it. This is your way, follow it. I continue to love WW1 French and Germans that you have drawn a few years ago.

I still think the skeletons you did all those years back are awesome. I wish you would release them. That is a set i would buy.

It's nice to hear that I have an audience here on the forum. Maybe I'll convince you to a new look. What do you think is bad in these styles. This is constructive criticism for me.

No. This your current style is not bad, it's not wrong ... simply, and without any value, it isn't my favorite style. but this is just a matter of personal tastes and preferences. Nothing else.

pavaro .... they are fuk##g awesome!!!!!!! What s Next??? As you probably know, I would like to make a race of undead with their history. I wonder, however, if such detailed characters will pass the exam as a 32 mm figurine. I focus more on the army than on "teams". So there are a few plans for it. Antohammer which one is better?

pavaro I like them but on my opinion your style s more heroic rather than 32mm the head is around 1/4 of the Totalheight... when i do mine i use 1/6 so they look more realistic but prints good in 28mm scale.. .... a real man should have a head around 1/7 to 1/8 for taller man ...... ... anyway you can sell them on my opinion ... they are nice If you want to make an army then you should start with a unit per type then and poses i like them anyway

I'm aiming for a comic or cartoon with human characteristics. Maybe I will try to do something more real.

pavaro, your proportions are what sets your work apart from everyone else. Please don't change it!

Is not there too much detail for a 32 mm figurine?

pavaro i think that he s perfect!!! he has a good amount of detail for a 32 mm minia!!! the lines i think are enought thick so he should print out good!! the only thing i suggest is to add a bit of black in the skulls area.... but maybe it is only me... anyway i wait for the other minia bro!!!!

I SUGGEST THE NUMBER 1

Here, in turn, something from the First World War. Same choice?

I think they will look fine at 32mm. I like witch 1 because of all the detail and soldier 2 because of the expression of his face.

pavaro i stick to number 1 for the soldiers too !!!

Hmm... IMHO #3 - slightly more interesting pose, then kinda more strong and deeper shadows

In all honesty, I like the detail of the first, the pose of the second, and the depth of the third (although perhaps a little more gradual in terms of the shading).

I happy that many people became interested my thread. It's nice to read that there is potential in every figure. This gives me a certain difficulty in which direction I should go.

Which?

Which? I like both poses very much, but I expect that the heavier lines of #1 will read better as a 28mm miniature on the game table. Always remember that you're working on drawings that are several hundred mm tall, but when the end-user uses them, they'll be the size of a Euro coin, or smaller, and viewed from 1-2 meters. (Notice how I did all that in metric? Pretty international for an American, right? )

A smaller sketch with small details / personality traits but better looking after reducing. A larger sketch with more details/personality traits but less transparent after reducing. Ah ...

A request to all of you. Which sketch best reflects the style in the preview of graphics? Preview of graphics found on Google.
