I'd say #1...
However, the overall style looks very much like Asterix to me...

I think #3 is closest. It has the clean lines like the example and also the head is in more similar proportions to the body as the examples.

A little was happening in my life but I think to return to the figurines again. I keep watching your work. They are awesome! I think #3 is closest. Can this style be adopted in the cardboard world?

... Do you think this style is suitable for figurines? Actually it's difficult to say much now. Advice: - make the other side (B-side) and add a decent color and effects (if needed).
- then make a normal, properly scaled (28-30mm) figurine (with a border and tabs).
- post finished figurine (or preferably rather several different figurines) - perhaps as a CWF Hoard submission?

So then users will be able to print these figurines on their (various!) printers and cardstock, make figurines and then objectively evaluate style, finish and most important - how these minis looks on the gaming table (view form so called tabletop distance). Perhaps you will also get this way more and better additional feedback - for example regarding color schemes, saturation, style and number of details etc., not just overall feeling. Otherwise you simply wasting time - sketches and even linearts may be OK but the end result could be far from expectations or just simply poor. Anyway, just my 2 coppers. ..

I realize that I lack the skill to sketch better. I have always been attracted by characters from comics such as Kajko and Kokosz or Asterix and Obelix. In such forms I could hide my imperfections in the drawing (such a character forgives some errors). Hence the idea for highly cartoon characters. I'm interested in fantasy and almost every historical period. So we'll see how the cartoon will perform, e.g. in the First World War. mesper, which version would you choose?

I'm interested in fantasy and almost every historical period. So we'll see how the cartoon will perform, e.g. in the First World War. mesper , which version would you choose? It's NOT about your skills at all (BTW you made good progress in your drawings)! Since you were asking specifically about version best suited for paper-mini FIGURINES my answer was (and still is) that there is not possible to evaluate WITHOUT seeing finished "product" - i.e. the REAL, full blown figurine (and preferably already printed and made by a few "independent" users) - and it's really REGARDLESS of style. And when it comes to choosing a drawing - in my opinion these all look very similar, with some rather minor differences. IMHO these small differences don't have much impact and most probably won't even be noticed by most users. But then adding color - oh yes! - THIS can add a lot more to the overall presentation and reception. Well it's a truism but in some cases the color may change the impression completely! However answering your question regarding my choice - I'd pick No. 3 as probably the most balanced / stylistically uniform and the one with some overall impression of refinement. Still, repeating, IMHO there is no point in choosing / evaluating / matching which sketch or style will be better for figurines without a proper, finished version of at least one two-sided figurine. You know, it's kinda a bit like choosing a car based just on a photo, without a test drive.

I would add that just in the case of the above-mentioned chiefasaur, vibrant, dynamic colors are one of the distinguishing features. For me, his excellent color style "do the job" on a par with the simplified cartoon-ish style.

"Deformed" in the same sense as the chibi "super deformed type" versions of regular anime characters and machines. Sort of "cute" versions.

Although I have been working in such a way for a long time, it is still a bit bothersome. Looking at the screen instead of where you draw. Such a screen tablet is something.

I do not know whether to buy immediately with a larger screen or better with a small screen at the beginning. i bought this one but i think you will not find it anymore, i ve it from years now amzn.to/39XSCgJ i can assure this one is worth!!! it s 18 pollici ... so it s quite big but to start maybe a 12 can be a good starting point... then there are two other new chinese producers.... i cannot say if theyr stuff is good.... i can assure you that huyon has great stuff for a good price!!! dont event take a look to wacom....they are overpriced for our poor guys pochets at least speaking for myself this one was more than half my month of pay in 2017.... this one is a huion with a chaper price and small size... not very big i know but it can be a starting point... amzn.to/3b5o9hSthis one instead i dont know if it s good.... but it s cheaper... amzn.to/39XTbal i want to give it to my girlfriend this winter as a gift... so if you have patience i ll be able to give you a review... but you ll need to wait a bit (a fu**** long bit) amzn.to/3b05lRmand this one... i think this one would be a great choice... :Q___ i want to take it but i ve mine that still work so i think i ll buy it only when mine pass out.... being poor is a bad stuff ... for sure the last one is the best... but it costs.... i hope i helped a bit
