In Gimp or Photoshop, say I scaled something 101% then decided I want to go back EXACTLY to its original size, what would I Scale it down to?
-99% makes it too small.
-Obviously its 99.___something, but what!?
So I know someone must know a formula maybe?

99.009900990099....
0099 is periodic, so you'll either end with a slighlty smaller size if you use 99.0099, or a slightly bigger size if you use 99.01
-edit- This is the math i've done, Suppose you had one stuff long 10.
how it is now, scaled to 101%? Easy: 10.1.
What percentage is 10 if 10.1 is (now) the 100%?
10.1 : 100% = 10 : X
X = (100*10)/10.1 = 99.00990099....

A x 1.01 == B
A == B / 1.01
A == B x (1/1.01)
1/1.01 == 0.9900990099009900....
In GIMP, try this. Draw a rectangular selection area that is 300x200. Now make it's aspect ratio fixed, just so we only have to tweak one dimension and the other will follow. So, the Size boxes should say 300 and 200. Change the width size box to read "300*1.01" - this will scale it all up to 101%. You're now at 303x202. Change the width size box to read "300*(1/1.01)" - this will scale it all down to 100%. You should be back to 300x200.
If you didn't know, you can actually enter simple expressions in the size/position boxes in most places, and it'll do the math for you.
