Hey hey folks! Firstly, happy New Year! Apologies for the extended break-the honeymoon was amazing (if tiring-Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Miami in 17 days then flying back to the UK is more than a little knackering!) and I can highly recommend the Tonga room if you are ever in San Francisco! Work has been crazy busy since we got back, but I finally managed to get a few things finished up whilst visiting the in-laws this weekend, so here we go with the sketches ...
Zombie-thinking of this guy as a kind of standard foot soldier for making up the hoard, with multiple heads, different colourways etc
Nap time zombie (this guy's still in his jammies)
Crawler-one of two 2.5ishD crawling zombies I'm working on And some human victi...HEROES!
Jack-this guy's lost his family and is bent on revenge
Kelly has put her martial arts skills to good use since Z-Day
Adrian-an ad agency intern, he just thought it would be another day at the office...
I have a few more bits and pieces (more heroes, some female zombies), but don't want the post to be too long and boring!
Will keep you all updated and hope to get a little more active on the boards again!

Have you looked at Apocalypse Z..... it's a supplement for battlefield evolution by mongoose. Minis in your style would be perfect for that. I've managed to find most of the human forces form Onemonk..... need fireman and swat teams though. Firemen have become vital zombie killers with their protective gear, gas masks and axes. The terra force models are great for most of the rest. Need more zombies though The mad cow has allready been draughted as a 'zombie beast'.
Love 'em. I particularly like the idea of the '2.5D' Crawlers - matter of fact I was thinking a couple of days ago about creasing shoulders and such to add dimensionality. Jack and Adrian look particularly cool, too.
LOL! ;D'Fraid that progress is at the 'slow and steady' stage at the moment, abaddon. Had an awful 'why can't I draw all of a sudden???' night last night resulting in a lot of screwed up inks and frustration, but did get the weapons scaled in right this morning before work ( I got in a little early...) Soon-I promise!
Well, I managed to catch the stomach bug that was doing the rounds so was out of action for a few days (THAT was a great way to end the Valentine weekend! ) but I have managed to start colouring the new batch, so worry not!
I will post a 'sneak peak' as fig each is finished, but will be putting these together in one set-am thinking one hero (in the 3 stages if I have time), and 3 or 4 zombies.
In almost related news I am now trying to decide what to go for for the wii-Dead Rising or House of the Dead Overkill. I have a birthday coming up so...

You sound like a fellow obsessive
Have you looked at the New world disorder game? I downloaded it with it's zombie expansion..... basically Necromunda gang type campaigns, but you can have one player running the zombie hoards every now and again.

cowboyleland: I always thought Tirick was a little mad.

Vermin King: Really worn out tonight, so when I'm like that I just look for things I used to have, but don't any more. I got the Zippy models and am rebuilding my Tirick/TCF Gaming folder. How the heck would anyone build his 1/1000 Battletech mechs without enlarging

Toman: yea I have been. pretty cool project. I've done a few scratch builds like that but not as large. cutting individual stones or carving stones in foam sucks.

Vermin King: Anybody else following Mauther's home-made Playmobile castle build? Looks really good so far

cowboyleland: Good point. Maybe make the wing feathers seperately so that the wind could get through them?

squirmydad: We had two operators for the hawk though, one to carry the weight and the other to flap the wings.

squirmydad: Probably silk and dowels. I assisted in the construction of a giant hawk puppet for an indoor show, probably about the same size as that pegasus.

Vermin King: It's got to be really light. The article dealt with parade puppets. I don't think I'd want to be trying to control that in a stiff wind

lightning: that's a nice pegasus!

shep: Will it fly, if you move the wings fast enough?
