I'm not sure if this is the right place to pitch this idea. Would anyone be interested in creating local clubs to support and promote our group? I know there are a few members reasonably local to me (within 15 miles). I'm not necessarily talking about regular meetings, like a wargames club, but an oportunity to meet up and work on joint ventures. I already promote the group at evnts and would be delighted to have a support network in the real world.

Quality idea. There are several within an hour or so of me, too.

I never give up an opportunity to meet for a beer. I think I'm about half way between WackyAnne and okumarts. That would only be a six hour drive for him and a ten hour drive for her, but they'd be meeting me! Maybe Parduz could drop by . . .

I'm headed up to my sister's wedding in Hamilton just before Christmas, but as I still don't know how we are getting there, or when we are leaving, I'm not sure I can make plans. I joked with okumarts about DMing for him in 5th Edition, and I think I may have scared him off

TEN HOUR DRIVE?... then perhaps I could also take a little flight (mostly sleeping) assuming that there will be some... beer - but NOT bears! -- vide Dwarven Beer Riders?!

Christmas can be such a crazy busy time! 5th edition seems so daunting... I just need a few spare moments to actually read the book.

I remember there was a site that allowed for an "admin" to create a "group" and then all other ppl can subscribe and register his own location. The result was a world map showing the location of all the group members.... if i could find it again (it was about 10 years ago) we could have a good idea about who's where and who's close to who

Judging by the response here (and on the Facebook page) I may have something. It sounds like it could also be a logistical nightmare. Any comments from our illustrious leader?

I'm going to Lawrence, Perry, and Kansas City-Kansas at the end of June for a weeks vacation. Any Cardboard-ians in the area are welcome to meet up for lunch and a game. I'll pack some of my toys. shep - I think hasturhasturhastur is in Germany. I'd love to see a world map of CWF'ers.

Are you visiting relatives? Getting a teen enrolled at KU? Going to a Sporting KC game?

My wife's Kansas relatives have a big reunion picnic every year, Ellises and Wentworth's, and I'm going to have my son take a look at KU. What toys should I bring with me?

All depends on how much time you wish to spend.
jaggedjack who hasn't posted is also from Kansas City, as is DCBradshaw. I could have sworn that there was a member from Lawrence at one time, but I don't remember the name.

And me, in Ussuriysk, far far East of Russia. I live so far, that it doesn't matter, where I want to do to meet somebody from this forum.

First off, it's just amazing how spread out this community is. I love it! Second, my world geography is terrible. I figured if you're that far east in Russia, you must be near squirmydad. Looks like you're closer to Ryan from Brave Adventures! I've had fun pulling up google maps street view and discovering that many places around the world look just like home to me. Oh, and I live up in the northeastern part of the US in Massachusetts.

I know of two Brits, in addition to myself, and I'm hoping there are more. A Frenchman responded to this topic on Facebook. Add to that the Russian, the Italian and the Pole. Maybe I should have asked where people are from before launching this thread.
