ok the screaming bell has to be finished or the Red Queen will be. She's tough no doubt about it but she needs her grey seer and the power he wields and the grey seer needs to be backed up by the screaming bell sooooo once more into the breach ! here is the arch ways for the bell an the bell it's self! the clapper and grey seer riding the bell are next! seriously it took me two solid tries to get the bell right and even now it's a bit wonky but it will work! rigth now there is no way to attach the bell to the arches (that's what the wooden post is for ) that will come in the next page of stuff, then it's just the decorative parts .... phew almost done I can see the light up ahead ! ok now I'm going to build this mess and see if it works..... again!! LOL

so every now and then things get so bad for the high elves that Alariella the EverQueen stops her meditation, sets aside policy changes and government, she stops foreign delegations and keeping up treaties and she dawns her battle gear walks onto the battlefield and reminds everyone that she is the goddess Isha's chosen priests and why she's called the EverQueen. Her level of bad assery is off the charts. she wields all forms of magic though she's particularly dangerous with fire , life and light magic. in the whfb univers shes a level 4 with extra rules which makes her near god like. for spell casting she has a +3 to your channeling pool. she has the special rules Always strikes first, martial prowess, Lileith's blessing and valor of the ages. so she hits first on most models with a 3+ and wounds on a 2+ with a none savable hit. she has a magic invulnerable 3+ save and can regenerate wounds for herself and her unit with one wound regen for every successful spell cast. she reminds us that she's not just a pretty face but a force of nature! I give you Alariella the EverQueen!

Long live the Queen! The Eagles are up; linkAnd you can find links to Sirrob01's Dragons here; Sirrob01 Dragons you know the dragon is cool and all but for some reason to me anyway it just looks too mechanical... almost like it's a ride at an amusement park or somthing ... Sooooo being the kind of guy I am and not being able to leave well enough alone I took the day to hot rod the high elf Dragon. I hope I'm not stepping on any toes here but this is where I'm at right now and I think I should be able to finish this thing up by tomorrow afternoon so anyone looking for a big blue dragon will be able to get their hands on one.

I'd get rid of the rocks that are going up the dragon's butt. It looks like he's pooping or something but the head is looking absolutely amazing. Great job on that! On an unrelated note (but back to the topic of the thread), are you doing other clan rats? I was just wondering for the layout/organization of the rat sets.

thanks for the feedback on the rocks ... they are kind of an integral part of the design, they will make the model stay up better. but I will change them to look different maybe? and back on topic yes I was in the process of designing a symbol for the Red queen and putting it on all the little pointy bits of the clan rats. so far I have 7 fronted I just have to do their B-side and then I will post them here...

I agree with nikloveland about the rocks. He can be on a pile of rocks, but don't let his tail wrap around the top of the rock pile. Also there are lots of little places that are going to be hard to cut that you could eliminate, like the little space between the rocks, the tail and the rear leg. Also the little gap between the spikes on the chin and the rock. The little loop in the tail could have rocks behind it. You might want to simplify the way the banner and the dorsal fin interact. Just some thoughts.

Maybe a rock pillar or one large Boulder instead of several rocks

what if the rocks came up and curved out behind him? the little inner cuts will all be eliminated when I add the border. also the other side isn't done yet so there is another set of legs your not seeing and the wings are going to attach just under the flag at the top of the curl of his back.

ok one last look at high elves and then back to the rat men I promise! my next post on here will be full of ratty goodness! but before I get back into it with my ratties here's a unit that doesn't exist for the High elves but should! the High elf Falconeer !! the way this bad boy/girl will work is that you can have three handelers for every unit Max 3 min 1 for every handler you get three great falcons! so 9 for a compleet squad. they can sweep across the battlefield and hit unit flanks disrupting them and knocking them out of Rank and file! they can disrupt and enmy charge and the handlers themselves are sword masters with the skirmis special rule and the falcons get sneak attack special rule. if that helps anyone! LOL I will be finishing her up and posting her soon enough! but on to the ratties !

I love the cut files !! this is just awesome sauce!! ok I know I said my next post would be full of ratty goodness but I had lots of chores today that took my far and wide and I only had a few minutes right before bed to knock out two clan rats ... here's what I am working on so far! it's just a wip but there will be more to come! as you can see i'm re-doing the Giant rats and the handeler as well. I can't help it I had a rat as a child and he was cute and he looked a lot like the old giant rats in this set and they just aren't scary. they look more cute and cuddly .... sooo I fixed it with some sabertooth giant rats! they will be out soon as well! I hope I will have most of this done by tomorrow.

Ok, this is officially one of my current favorite threads to follow... So much good stuff coming out from aaron, and I've got to restrict myself from printing and assembling due to zero income induced ink and cardstock shortages.... it is all the great stuff like this here on this board that make me works so hard when i'm working on my projects, it really pushes me to profuce things that I feel are up to everyone else's production standards!

in this case because I wanted a completely rag tag looking bunch that was not uniform I actually hand drew each one. this I was able to do because I have been doing it every day of my life for nearly 30 years so drawing comes naturally to me and I can do it really really fast. As far as making the B-side it's really easy with Photoshop. once you have the A side done you simple copy it into another layer. you can do this a lot of different ways. the way I do it is by dragging the layer I want to copy onto the new layer button on the bottom of the layers menu. then once I have a new layer I simply draw side B over side A and I don't really worry about Side A to much as I have learned a trick ... once you have side B done you make another copy of it and put it under side A and it will instantly apply any changes you made. you might need to clean up side A a little but not to much. then you simple add the base bar at the bottom and flip side B upside down put the two sided together on the red line and bingo you merge the visible layers and your done time to move on to the next one! here's the ones I was able to do today.
