ok so I am building a Mordhiem table with more .... subversive ideas in mind. I'm making splinterwoods into a skirmish game that will be similar but better? maybe.... well that will all be a matter of opinion but in the mean time I have a mighty need for burnt up destroyed buildings!! \ I have already exhausted Dave 's burnt up models (don't tell him but I have resorted to taking a lighter to some of his none burnt up models but it's not the same!! ) and world works has surprisingly little in that dept. soooo I put it to the forum where can I get models of burnt up buildings that look as good as Dave's ! since he's not getting ready to release any more LOL I would make my own but I most of you know how I feel abut making terrain ... which is to say I hate it, but I love putting together other peoples models LOL If I have to I will make my own ... I will grumble and complain like a whiny little baby the entire time .... unless someone has a solution? the Red Queen demands more buildings!! LOL

You can get pretty far just with Dave's ruins. The bulk of our mordheim buildings come from that bundle. What you really need to do is vary up the terrain a little. Get some open areas full of rubble and get a nice variety of small props like crates and stuff to give your fighters something to crouch behind.
I made a bunch of 12"x12"x5" boxes that I use to vary the level of the terrain. That made a lot of difference to my table. Also started building up a collection of ships so sometimes we set our battles by the docks and sometimes just have ship-to-ship battles on an otherwise empty board.
Also have WWG's sewers and we use those occasionally instead of fighting above ground in the city.

Papermau is always a good place to look for a variety of interesting buildings that can be modified as well.

Thanks Kevin, One of the really cool things about Dave's buildings is that most if not all of them come with Ladders, ramps and crates, some of them come with chests as well, and the ruined house comes with a table, dresser and some other odds and ends LOL So I think I'm going to compile all that into a single sheet and use it to make lots of rubbely bits. but I will check out your stuff as well! \ Thanks for the Tip I now have the Sewers, that's quite the under taking LOL I will be working on that for a while.... LOL I'm still looking for more buildings though because I want a table that looks more like this .... oh ya since my friend wanted an all female dark elf warband and I was almost done with it, I figured I would finish it up... so here's how it breaks down a dark elf High born with a Helmet and dark elf blade a sorceress with a spear and Helmet with Soul Stealer a beast master with a beast lash three witches with double poison daggers) three shades with repeater crossbows three cold one beast hounds naked as you can see I still have 2 more witches to make but the band is almost done! and for those of you who are paying attention, I stole the idea for the cold one hounds from Dragon's crown LOL I'm sure they won't mind as I am not charging anyone for this and I changed them enough that it shouldn't matter anyway LOL Niko (my son) is going to play undead *sigh* it seems that undead are the bane of Dark Elves LOL

All my ladders and bridges are made of wood. Picked up huge whack of balsa wood at a bargain price from a hobby shop that was closing down. Still got a whole heap of it left over today 15 years later. Basically it's as simple as taken a pair of skewers or tooth picks for the poles and then gluing strips of balsa wood/lolly sticks/matches to them. Paint them black and dry brush them brown and you're done!
