To increase my booths visibility at Senshi-Con this year I've finally purchased a banner. The final product is 24"x72" on vinyl.

Hey, look who's in the big time! Do you ever think about consolidating your "corporate identity?" I think Mayhem In Paper is more descriptive than OneMonk, but I totally understand wanting to show respect for Jim.

"One Monk Miniatures - a wholly owned subsidiary of Mayhem in Paper." It would have been nice to purchase WWG as well, but they didn't seem serious about selling and I only really wanted the Deadfall line of western products.
This is the same convention I've been going to for the past two years. Every year I learn something new, this year power is automatically included in the booth fee so I'll be bringing my Portrait and have that chattering away and cutting out models all day.

My ears perked up so I dropped you a PM regarding WWG, squirmydad. And, I like the banner - I'm a fan of the very uncluttered look.

Mayhem in Paper is projecting a different image than last year. Is that the Mrs.? Nope, that's a visiting booth babe who was escorting my daughter during the convention. This year I'm selling constructed versions of the models as well as prints and CD collections.

My lack of a banner was super obvious as soon as I walked in the door at the AK Battle Brothers con and saw other banners.

The Mrs. came out to help again this year, she is more gregarious than I am. She's the pretty one on the left.

Day 1 reflections and lessons; "Do you have any dragons?" No, there's free ones at the website though. -I'm not going to make a Dragon, probably make a Hydra though. Hydras are cool. "Do you have any buildings?" -...Not yet, it's on the list. As always, "What are these for?" "Can you play games with these?" "Oh! You can play games with these!" Having business cards and a banner are essential. I've been selling pre-built minis this year; sci-fi not popular, fantasy does pretty well. CD collections are still a good deal. The Chimera Hybrid Cannoneers have done well, people like big bugs. People like the Sampans, but don't buy them. The Hamilton Ram Steamtank has been a crowd favorite, especially the brown tone or ones with the dual gatling turret mod. More later.

To continue my debrief; I became ridiculously ill the day after the convention and am just now getting better so note #1; use hand sanitizer. -I missed out on several big sales because I did not have card reading capability, working on it for next time. -Sold more CD collections, next year I'll definitely do the fantasy and Steamtanks collection cds, fell through a crack in this crazy year. -Sold exactly seven pre-assembled paper minis, including bases, for $1 each. -Sold more pre-built Hamilton Rams, sold a couple pre-built Steamtowers. -Didn't sell a single printed page of minis.
Thoughts for next year; not sure yet, cd collections are popular with a good profit margin and travel well, especially at conventions. Pre-prints and pre-builds take up a great deal of room and time, but are necessary to have around for demonstration purposes.

Glad you are feeling better.
You have to have the physical pieces. If you just showed up with CD's, you wouldn't sell a one of them.
Did you have a chance to run any games? That would definitely help. Demonstration builds would help, too.

Any chance of seeing you at planet Comic-Con in Kansas city this may? Very unlikely. I thought about demo games but decided it would use up to much of my table space. I did have power this year so I demonstrated the Portrait cutter and popping models and minis off of the page. That went over gangbusters with the crafters working in the Artist's Alley selling things like stickers of anime characters that they were cutting out by hand. Another good piece of presentation for this year was business cards instead of bookmarks. I was at a gaming convention in August where a gentlemen had very nice business cards for his gaming demo...in a ratty, torn cardboard box and the cards weren't immediately visible. I made sure to put my cards in a little silver card holder so they presented well, a few hundred of them left my table.
