Fun stuff and great textures. I my only concerned would be cutting out the thin "arms."

Welcome. Yeah those arms could be a bit fragile. You probably should put a little CA glue on the back (just where the arms are) before cutting it out. It will give it extra strength, even if it will be a little tough on your knife.

Using super glue would work, but 'hardened' pieces will dull your knife very quickly. You would want to do a number of light cuts to cut it out, instead of using lots of pressure and only one cut.

I agree. The spindly arms fit the character.
