I have created some simple bases for slot minis (is that the right word?). You can get the zip file containing 1x1" and 2x1" bases here. They have no textures, just simple green color for now and no instructions. I will add that later. In these pics I have marked the inside with a brown felt pen to make it look nicer.

By chance could you make a blank one?

the pdf is layered. just disable any layers you don't like. if you use the cutfiles you could disable everything except the registration marks.

Did a quick and dirty edit using a One Monk texture... if I do more do you mind me posting them to my blog?

I like these! If I may make a suggestion; place the bases next to each other so that one cut takes care of two edges. Like this; link

Just ask the designers you like if you can do bases with their textures. Don't imagine any of them will say no. Most of them will even send you the textures and artwork.

I can see how they go together, and it looks like they should work fairly well. Will definitely be printing a batch once I get some textures I like on them.

I am trying to get to the point where I can make my own ground textures, but that might take some time. I want to get much better at digital painting. Right now I am so busy updating my old products so that they look good again on the vendor page. bravesirkevin: I will try that Kevin. Good idea to bridge the time until I have my own :-) bluecloud2k2: I think they are easy to build and look ok to me. Let me know when you have pics!

Okay, did another one with a different grass texture. Also modded the file to reduce cuts. Dunno if someone can make a cut file for this... I still need to unpack my robocutter and set it up but been hella busy. Is there an easy tutorial on making cut files? And here's the blank template: just select by color, click on the bright pink and then use Edit > Paste Into (make sure you have your full-sheet texture already copied to your clipboard).

This is EXACTLY the type of bases that I was looking for. They weren't much more effort to make than onemonk's and I like the stability of these a whole lot better. I took your png file and did some with a few of the free onemonk overlays that are on the donwloads page. Here is what I did with them: I used the bloody sci-fi overlay for these bases for my gun crawl game. Now to get the xenos cut out and based and I am ready to play.

Just noticed that it would look even better if the shadow of the rocks was towards the bottom edge. As I am leaving for a week (hopefully) in the sun I will fix that in the week after.

I really like your grid style. So subtle, yet completely visible.

I don't know how much time you invested in the ground texture and gridding, but it is beautifully done
