Outstanding podcast, sir. You gave lots of good direction for those new to the craft, and they were good enough to post all the appropriate links.
Well done and thanks

Good show! Once upon a time WWG was writing adventure modules that had the terrain you encountered with it. I forget the name, they also did a few sets that were based off of Pathfinder adventure modules. I've always like that idea of having the scenery and props included with the adventure, literally "Print & Play."

There should be bundles on RPGnow that have an adventure, a bunch of relevant paper minis and a bunch of relevant paper terrain. Think there's just a lack of connection between the adventure writers and the designers, which I imagine could be solved by getting a few of them on board here.

For a while TSR was selling (I think Basic) Dungeons and Dragons modules with poster sized battle mats and I think some figures. The dumb thing was the big posters revealed the whole dungeon all at once. Dividing up the map according to "line of site" and putting a room or two on an 8.5 x 11 sheet (and on occasion attaching multiple 8.5 x 11's together) would be easier to produce and make the game easier to run as well. So many adventures come with a map. It would be so easy for the cartographer so scale up each room to battlemap size.

Well, based on this podcast, I think there might be one small studio (Encoded Designs) and one author (Shawn Merwin) who might consider a proposal... I'd be happy to help in any way!

When Craig Shakleton was writing for Paizo and living across the street from me we had dreams of me making tiles and figures for adventures he would write. At the time my skills were not up to the job (still aren't, probably) and he has both moved and stopped writing professionally. We could have made thousands! (of pennies, that we would split between us . . .)
