Neat! One,really, really stupid question... What's a "lazy Susan" axle?
When I made some stompies (walkers, mechas, whatever), I used wooden kebab skewers for the axles.

I'll take a picture of the next one that I make, but basically I cut out three circles that I sandwich together. The outside circle has a small hole in it, the middle circle has a slightly bigger hole that has a paper disc inside of it. When I glue the paper circles together I make sure none of the glue gets onto the disc so that it can spin once a part is glued to it from the access hole in the outside circle. When it's done, it looks like a miniature turntable like some people have in the center of a table for condiments. I am going to make future ones out of thin plastic sheeting I bought when I imagined myslef doing a bunch of scratch building.

I like magnets better. the joints never wore off, and I can mix and match weapons among my robots and vehicles.
That and I bought a hundred rare earth magnets at once, no need to economize for some time.

I bought a bunch of those magnets, too, as it does make swapping out the Vulcan weapons much easier. Here's a couple of pics of a magnet joint/turret I made for an M7. By adding the cuff I prevent it from moving around and forcing it to turn in a realistic orbit. I think it's those kinds of labor-intensive touches that makes my wife tell me that I need to get out more:)

Ya Know I've always wanted to give the Magnets a go and it looks neat too! What do most of you do, just use a rare earth magnet in the weapon and washer in the body (or vice versa), that way polarity wouldn't be an issue?

The weapons all have the same polarity, and the body of the vehicles and robots the reverse polarity. I use spent blade bits in scenery like tiles an the top of buildings.

I think I'm definitely gonna have to find some online and get some ordered lol, I think I might try to do magnets in the weapons/attachments and a washer in the body/frame!
