The theme for this month's HOARD is Star Tales This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of August, 2016. Oy! I always like Sci Fi, and I really had hoped to have the Dorado Motor Company's Utility Vehicle done by August 1, but alas, I'm behind. I know we have Papercuts 2016 going on, too, this month, but maybe we can find time to do this up right. Drop ships, space cruisers, aliens, alien flora and architecture, galactic colonies, etc. Have fun!

This is actually from a commission I'm working on right now, so easy to switch the mini style and fit it in.

For the Hoard! Since I was already making ships for a TNG Far Trek campaign... This is just a preview, you'll find the full size image here: bit.ly/2biiLOeThe ship is of my own design, using and re-pixeling starship parts from some guys on deviantArt as reference base. EDIT: Forgot the (C) mumbojumbo... Persephone class designed by Shep; starship parts modified and used (C) by Captain Shade and Canid D, kindly provided on deviantArt by kavinveldar.deviantart.com; the Trek is, of course, (C) CBS/Paramount. This ship is considered fan art, no copyright infringement intended.

Well, since that one was so popular, here's some Red Shirts to accompany her as Meat Shields. If they had on black leather jackets and pants they'd look like extras from the movie 'Grease'

Alright, I don't have nearly the skills of madmanmike or Shep, but here is my first draft of my entry for Star Tales. I used Vermin King's "Bill the Bog Pony" from April's Out and About hoard as a basis to create Glimmer Star from My Little Pony. I can safely say that I learned a LOT from working on this piece, and I should have Glimmer Star v1.1 up in a few days. Here is Glimmer Star lost in Ancient Egypt: And here is Glimmer Star being rescued by a Vulcan Chick, shown for scale: Once I am satisfied with the v1.1 or v1.2, I have some ideas to add more Star Tale to this one then just the name Glimmer Star...

Alrighty then, I am happy with where I have gotten Glimmer Star... he (she?) turned out much better than I thought. I should have some final build pics up tonight, submission for the August Hoard tomorrow with all copyright credit duly noted. Work on September Hoard entry "Halloween Wars" has commenced. And once it is done, little Glimmer Star here will make a bit more sense... EDIT: maybe tomorrow and Monday, I seem to keep dozing off tonight.

Wait a sec, what's going to kill those Redshirts? Is it the pink unicorn? NO! It's an Alien Beastman! (or some big guy in a bleached ape suit with horns glued to it..)

Sure, send me a PM..
My focus is mostly on helping Palladium Books.. I owe everything I am to them. Without Palladium, I wouldn't have made any of the friends I made when I was a teenager, I wouldn't have found the path to 'normalcy' out of my autism, and I wouldn't have met my wife. Palladium Books IS my life.

My last piece for this month's hoard: a 12 x 12 inch sickbay, of course Star Trek inspired. Some parts (round tables, chairs, pressure chamber door, mrt) come from the great forums at www.dundjinni.comOthers, like the tricorders and displays are obviously photos or production stills. The rest, however, was done by me. I don't know, if this kind of "kitbash" is allowed for the hoard, but here we go anyway... The image is just a preview. For everyone's convenience, I cut the map into four 6 x 6 inch tiles. Download the PDF here: bit.ly/2bJLGWZ
