Hello again, mostly out of curiosity but I was wandering who all out of the many awesome mini designers we have in our community here do little commission projects for custom minis or models on the side? Also what it cost on average per mini/page or any rules/limits?

That's a little bit vague. Probably a 'commission' would get me off my duff and complete some of my incomplete projects, but I really don't have a clue what would be fair.
What are you looking for?

Hahaha, sorry about that, I didn't mean to be vague. I guess I thought about reviving an idea I had a couple years back for more Add-ons for Mels Battlesuit Marines since I really love using them in GunCrawl but I thought I'd see what it might cost or if it was even possible since it was more along the lines of Add-on parts instead of minis. Here is sort of some ideas I had in mind. I do like the way he did the weapons in a neutral coloring, they kinda go with any color suite, I just really wish there was a more diverse set of weapons and odds and ends to really flesh them out and make them a lot more unique in games lol. I was thinking a few things like: a Sniper, Pistol, SMG, Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Shotgun, Machine/Mini Gun with ammo belt, etc. sort of the usual diverse set of weapons in right hand (and left hand for some). I was also thinking Blades and Sabers would be really neat (Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow), then maybe a sort of tower shield/shoulder mount shields for a beefier armor version, a Tablet that can be glued/attached to the arm for a tech suite, maybe repair arms/tools for a repair suit, and lastly Ammo Belts for belt feed weapons lol. Maybe a few other small odds and ends but that was kinda the main idea lol. Also was thinking about a second project being a set of 3-4 Scifi Mage type minis? I've really been wanting to bring a few basic magic users into GunGrawl. I did a quick google search and ran into this guy and loved his over all look, it's spot on how I picture a Scifi Mage (maybe a magic/saber user) lol:

Those ideas all sound great, but I'd ask Chris if he'd mind you doing a set of Weapons Add-ons.
I do like that Sci Fi Mage.
But all of these projects would require me to develop new skills. Hopefully someone else will jump in. After all, this is the Sci Fi Hoard this month

Edit: Mel replied and said it's ok to commission stuff like that for his archived stuff. I do like that Sci Fi Mage. I know right! It's just begging to become a mini lol!

Interesting projects!
Also I am interested to know if here there are some authors that accepts commissions.
Some paper minis. No interest about commercial us or IP rights. Exclusive personal use.

I think, what you're basically looking for is a layered PDF with Troopers in varying poses with upper arms only and layers for each weapon type/special equipment including the lower arms. This way, you'd have a kit to style your minis any way you'd like...

Yeah I was thinking the individual weapons that have the sort of hot swap ability that Chris's Battlesuits have.

I'm glad that someone has these as a favorite. I must have a mental block. You know me a bit by now. I do figures. I do micro builds.
But I have yet to have a 'successful' Battlesuit Marine. I always end up with one that looks like it lost a fight with a trash compactor. The best one looks like it is malfunctioning or drunk. One of these days I will have to try again
