I'm still messing around with making paper minis out of photos of lead minis. Rcently, I stumbled upon some software that can convert raster pics into vector. I tried it with a couple of my conversions, and here is an example - the original pic and miniature used in the example can be found here (linky). Normal, cartoon filtered raster on the left - vectorized on the right. I actually think it makes them look a bit better, smoother etc. Question is - is it noticeable on print (30 mm scale), and thus, worth the bother? /CD

I think it depends on how much effort is required. The vectorized does look better, but I don't think it looks enough better to warrant a whole lot of work

It would only make sense to me if you plan to scale to a significant other size.
