Okay, I know I'm known for unfinished projects more than finished ones, but I figure I need to have a place to keep track of what I plan and possible plans if things work out.
Right now, I am in good shape for eventually finishing the Desert Planet Buildings.
With the knowledge I've picked up, I want to rework the Harvard House and Garrick Inn and do the main building of the Shakespeare Birthplace.
I need to finish the Oshkosh M-ATV and the Steam Carriage
I know there really isn't such a thing, but there should be ... The Anheuser-Busch Christmas Semi (guess which Hoard that is for)
I want to revisit the Modular Medieval Buildings
I also want to do the Steampunk building based off the New York Life building in KC. This took a major leap forward today, because I was looking at A-B brewery and stable buildings, and saw a photo of the A-B Depot in Omaha. How does that help? When I went to the page of Historic Omaha buildings, it turns out New York Life built an identical building in Omaha, which became the Omaha National Bank headquarters. Identical and not all those huge buildings blocking the view. It even has the eagle over the main entrance.
Of interest to this community or not -- The old First United Methodist Church building in downtown Sedalia burned and had to be demolished. One of the pastors asked me if I'd be willing to do a model of the old church if they could find me enough reference material. I told him it was possible, but I'd need a lot of material.
The second one may be of more interest. The old historic marker for the Butterfield Stage Line is no longer in Water Tower Park in Cole Camp, Missouri, so I asked a friend of mine (the old mayor) if he knew where it went. It turns out that he is on the board for the historical society, and we got to talking about late 1800's Cole Camp. The old hotel, which now houses restaurants, was the old Stage Stop and Hotel. He's looking up reference material on that to do a model of it as it appeared pre-1900. He doesn't think that there would be photos from when the stage stopped there, but he's checking. Surely someone would need an old Wild West hotel and stage stop.
