I am looking for some Amazon standees, in three different flavors. I am interested in classic Greek-style Amazons, looking like archetypical greek warriors with the crested helm and round shield and spear and such. Also nude Amazons (no pics on the forum please, and clearly identified "not family friendly" links) with spears and javelins/bows. Finally the most likely "historical" Amazons, horewomen with bows and Medean dress. If they could be similar in style and quality to mesper 's "Permes" ranges that would be great ( mesper actually has some Amazons in one of his Fantasy sets, but they are not quite the right kind of Amazons for my needs.) If they could be mostly in side/profile view, that would be even better. I am building my DBA 3.0 armies in cardstock now, since I do not have the funds to finish them in metal/plastic miniatures. Early Libyans as Amazons, Kyrenean greeks as Amazons, and Skythians as Amazons. Hooray for Amazons! I appreciate any and all suggestions.

And a chariot That actually nails two out of three lists. They will both take a little work, but I think I might be up to that now lol! Any suggestions on nude Amazons?

The ancient Scythian/Mongolian cavalry Amazons continue to prove difficult to source even as cast metal, resin or plastic minis, and - despite years of trying - I've still to find any in paper (despite dropping hints elsewhere on the CWF...). There's remarkably little evidence in Greek art for historical nude Amazon warriors (which makes perfect sense if the historical reality was people from the steppe), so you may have to cope with any fantasy variants you come across. Or perhaps design your own from standard artists' nude dollies, with whatever war-gear you need added. If you can cope with A-frame and trifold paper minis, Arion Games have three Amazons listed in their first Greeks Set, plus a "Princess" and a "Woman", while their Greeks Set II has a listed "Greek Princess" and a "Nymph". Both are DTRPG links, and both are paid-for sets. I've not seen either set though, and there are no images available for the actual minis in the first set (the Publisher's Preview link is broken), while there's only a distorted and very small image of the minis in Set II via the Quick Preview option (the sample images link throws you out to the Arion Games Forum, but the images have been deleted from the page!). [Edit: Drat! Forgot they also do an Amazons Set, although the cover image suggests this is more medieval-fantasy in style, plus a Fantasy Heroines Set (again likely medieval fantasy, but there are horse-mounted variants at least in this one; I can't tell what the Amazons are riding from the tiny Quick Preview images, but there seems a distinct limb shortage for horses!).]

Amazon cavalry is nicely done in 28mm by Eureka, and is pretty much exactly what we would expect of horse nomad Amazons typified by the Thermodon River excavation site. The models in Hoard 18 will serve for these, withva little work on the headgear and coloration.
Of the nude Amazons there is less evidence, just rock art in Libya depicting nude female warriors with Greek style helmets. I was actually in the process of converting an army of these in 28mm, but thewarstore.com stopped carrying Shadowforge beforevI finished purchasing, and postage from Oz was excessive. So finding some good standees would be helpful!
