Here's a sheet of bears I made from scientific illustrations at palaeopedia.tumblr.com/. Since the source is scientific/educational, and the original artwork seems to come from a Japanese website about extinct species, I'm reasonably sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes (or revenues) by sharing them. That site has literally thousands of illustrations of animals and plants ranging from familiar to bizarre, and many of them--like these--are posed as near-perfect full-body profiles, lending themselves to flipping to make two-sided paper minis. I varied the coloration and size of the two original illos, to make them more interesting and easier to differentiate on the game table.

Wow. I wish I'd known about this site back in February when I was wanting an Irish Elk Holy Smokes! It's a good thing I got an early start today. I just spent about 45 minutes on this site. Great find I have well over 100 images from this site, waiting to be made into minis, and I've only saved ones posed in profile, since I'm fussy about back art. (That means that swell Irish elk doesn't make my list, btw, no matter how cool it is!) If you got away after only 45 minutes, you got off light. If you have three hours to kill, click the Archive link at the top of the page...

There are LOTS of great dinos and other big reptiles there, as well as Ice Age and pre-Ice Age mammalian megafauna.
