Darn, the Subject Line can only be so long ... The theme for this month's HOARD is The Hoard of the Procrastinators This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of December, 2016. All those projects that didn't quite get done, and I'm sure we all have those. I know that I do

So this is basically an excuse to get up from the couch and finish projects long overdue?

Yep, you are absolutely correct. A mish-mash will be more than welcome.
Let's see, I still have several bog ponies and the Irish Elk to do, and the second half of the shipwreck, and the Oshkosh M-ATV, and the 2d robots, and the steam carriage...
And I still want to do Shakespeare's birthplace some time.

How about all the random (read: Star Trek) stuff that I have been generating recently that doesn't really fit into "Medieval mayhem" or "Christmas Wars?" Or should it all be new stuff I haven't posted yet?

I know, we've been putting off this one.
Remember you still have until 12/31 to start and finish those projects ... unless we procrastinate closing it out

And you have two months to think about it. Is it time already??!? I have two different projects in the making (for years now): a dungeon crawl board game sized to fit in a (shirt) pocket, called Pocket Adventures, and several sets of various crime scenes for use with detective RPGs like Private Eye (basically one or two rooms (incl. furniture), a suspect, a victim, a detective (of some sort) and one or two witnesses per set). Some bits and pieces of everything are ready, but nothing has progressed far enough for a release. Perhaps, I'll find the time to finish at least a sneak peak preview of one of the sets till the end of December.

Actually, if you want to gather all that material up and send me the link to it I can add it to the guest download section of onemonk.com . Message me if you'd like to work out the details for all of that.

It's the Procrastinator's Hoard, but let's not wait too long.
I'm trying to figure out which of my stalled projects is most likely to be able to be completed. That doesn't mean you can't do a totally new project.

Okay, I'm gonna cheat myself... Having grabbed "vs. Ghosts" from this year's Halloween treats over at DTRPG, I had a blast reading the short rules book. It made me watch the first Ghostbusters movie again (which I had not done in ages). And now, I'm gonna patch up some hunters, ghosts, and bonus stuff for this hoard. As (almost) always, I'll be mostly using minis from okumarts for my mods... Ugh! Last time I've drawn one of these was in the last century...

I'm afraid my contributions aren't going to be that many this time, not that I haven't killed a lot of time figuring out what I'd like to do.
Irish Elk/Deer and more bog ponies for sure. I was playing with the Astronomical Clock Tower for the Guild Hall. Worked some more on the Steam Carriage. I just am not sure what is going to actually get finished.
Ghostbusters would be fun. So 'vs Ghosts' is pretty good?

So 'vs Ghosts' is pretty good? Why don't you post your Jurassic Park? "vs. Ghosts" is neat and simple. The mechanics use a poker deck instead of dice, but you can play the game with 2d12 or a d12 and a d4, as well. You have 5 attributes, health, a set of gimmicks and some traits, and that's it. The rest is imagination and fun, just like in the old days. Layout of the core rules is also quite nice with all the rules you need plus a 15-pages insert on various types of ghosts on a total of 64 half-letter-sized pages. There's equipment, antagonists, extras, ghosts, and even specific rules for fear. I like it!

Sounds like fun.
No, if I'd done my own Jeeps, I'd have posted them, but heavily-modified versions of other folks' work. Nah
But I did post links on where to get the stuff, just not my mods

Done! I have some trouble with my dropbox at the moment, so I uploaded/added a 100% JPEG of the minis. It would be nice, if someone else could host the minis. I added a 1-inch-measure, so everybody should be able to print the minis the correct size... I might do a ghost hunting mobile as well, but there might not be enough time to do so, since right now I'm in the middle of a translation job, Germanizing a RPG supplement. I have to get 50 pages ready by early January, and with a speed of around 4 pages a day and the holidays coming up, this is gonna be eating up all of my time. However, I didn't want to let you guys down, so I finished my modding of okumarts' minis into some ghost hunters and adversaries. Now back to translating... Oh, btw, the "floating blanket" ghost is my first selfmade mini with front and back... EDIT: Just in case I won't be able to do that car, you can head over to Papermau for a really great Ecto-1 and a fancy build of the HQ (including another Ecto-1)...

Outstanding. Don't forget the great exterior of the firehouse at davesgeekyideas.com/2010/10/29/ghostbusters-firehouse-papercraft/. I really wish that there wasn't a Paper Replika and Paper Insides Ecto-1. As is pretty obvious, I really like Dave Winfield's Koolwheelz models. His balance between detail and simple is really good, but since there are two other great models, he doesn't want to take time for projects that have no models for one that has two great models (and a few that aren't that great). I am sure that Dave's would be the perfect model for most of us. Have you played any 'vs Ghosts' games yet?

Thank you! Have you played any 'vs Ghosts' games yet? Not so far. The translation job is somewhat "distracting"… However, the rules semm to be light and easy enough for an unprepared (more or less) spontaneous game. There might be a chance on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, depending on whether or not I can persuade a few selected gamers into a game of ghostbusting. I'll post pictures, should we play.

Well, been going back to the Irish theme. Did up the Irish Giant Elk/Deer and another bog pony. Totally different build, but the Irish Wolfhound is almost as tall in the shoulder as the bog pony. I just thought that odd

Don't expect much, I just took the image from that site where jeffgeorge got his bears and did a little tweaking. Mirrored back and he's a bit of a runt since making it full-sized seemed too large. Also drug out the Irish cart again. Again, don't expect much. I'm intrigued by these basically flat-bed carts that may have a rack going around the front and two sides. I guess that one has a tailgate, too, but other images don't. Mine will have a straight axle with no springs. When you look these up, they are from about 3 feet X 3 feet to 4 feet X 5 feet. I suspect that for shorter trips and chores, they double as hand carts.

Well, since I was getting all voicemails today (only reached one person), tired after shoveling and sweeping snow and the granulized ice, and dealing with the girl who wrecked her mom's car, I didn't feel like getting back to work. Only one thing to do, create my working file! I don't have tabs on the cart or fold lines, nor have I cut out the rims and hubs for the wheels, but this is where I am at for the test build

Buildable. I haven't built the Giant Elk, the three versions of Kerry the bog pony or Sam the Wonder Wolfhound. I'm a sucker for nice wheels. I imagine I'm the only one to build them this way. To keep the wheels level, I turned the cart upside down and had it supported on two markers I think I should have stuck with my first plan of mounting the 'trees' that the horse is yoked to against the ends of the axle piece. I'll have to mark the axle location on the underside piece. But I'm happy with the test build. The strap isn't on yet, as it goes over the back of the pony and wraps around the two trees
