Hey folks, I found this website that teaches you how to make your cutter carrier sheets sticky again. If you're like me, being on a tight budget, this makes more sense than paying $15-$25 US for one new sheet which will need to be replaced anyway. Hope this helps everyone out!! Re-stick your carrier sheets

I also learned another thing...you really, really, REALLY need to rub a cotton shirt over your newly stickied carrier sheet after the glue has dried, or you will have to literally wash the torn paper off of the sheet. The sheet will pick up the lint fibers and not be like superglue.

I don't even bother using the official carrier sheets. I just bought a cheap box of plastic folders online, cut them up, then spray some Krylon Easy Tack on each one, put a sheet of wax paper on it to prevent it from sticking to the others, and use--and reuse those. When the adhesive starts to get too worn off, I just go through and spray them all again. One spray is good for 5-6 uses. I think I've used this current batch of folders at least 30 times each. They're just now starting to get gouged enough that I am worrying that it might start to affect the cutting, so I've picked up a new box of them. The ones I use are $40 for a pack of 25 and you can get 2 carrier sheets out of each folder: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BF9HWDS I cut the spine off first, then cut just enough off of the side and bottom to remove the pocket.

Interestiong idea. I have a can of basting spray (used in sewing, quilt-making and such) and that stuff works like superglue until I run a cotton cloth over it a few times. I may have to see if I can find a can of the Krylon in my local big box store. Thanks for the tip!

In a pinch I will use misprints on cardstock as a carrier sheet and I just run a repositionable glue stick over the surface with quick passes. It works well for about two or three cuts before you need to do some touch-up with the glue stick again.

I used to do that, as well, but I started to run into problems where my cutter wouldn't feed the sheets through consistently well and that would result in cuts being really messed up. Once I went to the plastic folder option (which I heard about from Denny Unger some years ago on the WWG forums), that problem went away.

Even Michael's doesn't seem to carry it. I could only find it locally at Joann Fabrics in the past. I've since picked up a can on Amazon every once in a while. 1 can lasts for a LOT of refreshes of carrier sheets. I think I'm still on my 1st can after 3 or 4 years.

Looks like amazon is the cheapest that I can seem to find, though WM could be faster to get than amazon. Price vs. convenience. I think I will get a can and see what it does.
