I am in the market for a printer. I have moved, and it is now a half hour bus ride to the nearest print ship rather that a ten minute walk. I am looking for a printer that fits the following profile: 1) under $100 US currency 2) inkjet not laser 3) available from Amazon Prime (US site) 4) refills under $25 through Amazon Prime I could just pick one randomly, but the CW Hivemind might know better Thank you for any and all help.

I've been using a low-end Canon Pixma for several years. It's lasted longer than any other I've owned. Ink is readily available at Walmart, Target, and Staples, so I assume Amazon as well. The wifi new one is under $100.

I picked up a NIB Epson XP-610 off of ebay for $30 and I bought a CISS system for it for $45. That lasted me until August when I purchased a refill kit for $25. Still have ink left to put into the tanks. The 610XP is wifi, can print dual-sided, print on CD/DVD, can print on cardstock/photo paper/printer paper, etc. The only real drawback is having to pop the cartridge and re-insert it when the printer says the tank is empty. If I had to purchase all of the ink cartridges that I have had to "replace", I would have spent about $500 this year alone. If you do find a printer, I would highly recommend getting a CISS for it as well. Just make sure that you find one that will work with your printer. They will usually tell you which printers will work with the CISS you are looking at.

I had a Brother Laser printer for 8 years before it died. Previously I'd had a multitude of Canon and HP printers. So I got a brother all in one. cheap. XXL cartridges that last a heck of a long time.
