I've been doing paper modelling for quite a while now due to lack of financial resources. Since moving to California, I have had the opportunity to purchase and begin work on an Irish warband for SAGA in honest to goodness metal. I have been doing some cleaning and basing of the figures in between making all of that papercraft scenery I have posted elesewhere. Today was brush time! Not a big deal, just getting some black gesso onto the models, but it is definitely a step back into painting I am sick as a dog right now, so I didn't get very far. But, PROGRESS!

I don't think I will ever pick up a brush again (unless it is to spread glue). I just don't have the hands for it and only having one working eye, my depth perception sucks majorly, so it is very difficult for me to tell where my brush is in relation to my figs.
I do wish you all the luck and success in the world for picking them up again. Hope you get to feeling better as well.
Merry Christmas to All!

Pics or it didn't happen! All kidding aside, I for one would be excited to see your painted figures when you're ready to show them.

I will be posting pics, no worries I am almost done with the painting on my easiest unit, 7 Irish Wolfhounds and their handler. I just need to apply the shading wash and highlight. The bases may have to wait a few days.

And another mention of wolfhounds. I knew I needed to include Sam the Wonder Wolfhound

Here we go, a unit of Irish Wolfhounds and their handler for SAGA. The bases aren't finished yet, and I need to buy some silver paint for the spearhead, but they are effectively done. These are the first figures I have painted for about six months.

Ah yes, the "joy of painting"... I wish I was skilled at that, but my minis are just happy accidents (see theshepster.deviantart.com/gallery/25696263/Miniatures )... Just kidding! I made it a tradition for myself to every year on Rose Monday sit down and paint at least one mini, while watching our Cologne carnival parade on TV. Since my city is one of THE hugest canival places in Germany, the parade takes about 6 hours, which is enough for one hero-style mini, or two to three army level minis...
