Since she was telling me how much fun she had with pterodactyl's as a girl, I set aside the Florence Cathedral I was building her for Christmas and started the Canon Pteranodon I hope to have one wing done over lunch. Second wing and body done tonight. You can get it at cp.c-ij.com/en/contents/CNT-0011599/index.html

Well, in each of the more complex Canon models, there always seems to be a crucial step that isn't explained well. The wings are the instruction issue here.
They leave out a crucial step ... 'By some miracle, the parts go together'
Not that that would be all that helpful either. I think I'm going to have to study things a bit more after work

It's not happening ... time for the Substitute Gift! and a gift card
Edit -- she likes lighthouses, so the Ravensblight one is getting a new home.
But without a time crunch, I hope to be able to work out satisfactory arm bones.

My dad--who has nothing to do with gaming--does collect lighthouses. I made him the Ravensblight lighthouse for his birthday in November, and it was such a hit that I wound up making a Dave Graffam building in HO scale for each of my family members at Christmas.

As it turns out, Kathy is a lighthouse fan, too. The mod I did so that you can swap the windows out impressed everyone who has seen it. And it got the mandatory 'This is paper?' twice so far. As I have a lot of lighthouses on the drive, the pteranadon may just get shelved. Probably not
