I let Ramses out on his own now. He came to us as an outdoor cat and I got tired of fighting the door with him. He usually wanders back every couple of hours to drink, eat,and use his box (he will not pee or poop in the great outdoors.)
Anyways, last night he didn't come home on his usual schedule. Or a couple of hours after that. Or a couple more hours. So I went out looking for him, about 10:30pm. I even walked out to the main streets, hoping he wasn't a flat cat kitty corpse.
About 12:30am, I got a phone call. From the police. Who had my cat in custody, and had called me from the phone number on the cat tag. He had apparently snuck into someone's home while they were heading out to work. Upon arriving home ,they saw my cat and called the police. This lady was terrified of cats.
So I went and got Ramses from the police. Three of them. He was apparently very friendly with them, and they were happy he had a home.
That's right. THREE police went to extract my cat from a home.
He is grounded to the house until further notice.
