Found a "new" wargame on WarGameVault.com. It's called Star Confrontations. It's basically a streamlined take on WH40K. Right now it's only $.99 and you get the rulebook and 2 armies and all the pages you need to print off those armies. Now the figs are simple but colorful and are merely A-frame minis, but for less than a dollar US, what do you expect. Another point in the games favor is that all the supplemental army books that JEN Games has out for this system are free.
The mechanics seem simple and straightforward and certain units can have a special ability to use on the battle field.
If you are looking for a (very) inexpensive way to start someone into wargaming with simple rules and figs, this would probably be a good choice for you.
When I get some figs printed and cut out, I'll post pictures for everyone to see.

I started building two 500 point armies to test the game mechanics out and it seems that NONE of the fold flats are of the same size front-to-back. So I am going to see if making them A-frame is the way that they were supposed to be. This game still looks pretty decent for 99 cents, but if I am going to have to rework the figures, then I may not give a nice review on WarGameVault.com. Let me just add that the figs look like they were done in Excel and are very simplistic. I may rework them anyway to give them a front/back instead of a mirrored front.
