Over on Tumblr, Matt Holmberg has produced a number of great black and white paper minis (complete with backs) over the years. The post below shows all that he has created - while also providing a link to the PSD file and inviting interested parties to colour them in if they wanted...... orwin-dm.tumblr.com/post/158000199142/100-of-the-little-bastards-and-ive-used-everyNow I have no photoshop skills whatsoever, but I know a lot of other folk on here do... And I would love to see some of these colourised as well...... Just in case someone had a free week or so..... lol!!

It's a ridiculously large file, but the minis are great--if you don't mind uncolored sepia outlines. GIMP opened the file with no problem. Maybe I'll color a few of these as time allows. Thanks for finding them!

ya I started coloring the griffin it's really hard going because you draw differently for color than you do for B&W. these guys are super sketchy and have to be cleaned up a lot. it kind of ruins the coolness of some of them.

Stuart Robertson over on Tumblr applied watercolour effects to a couple of them - with good effect! Would love to get a closer look at what he did with those city guards.... And maybe get my hands on a couple!! (BTW Stuart has a few cute minis of his own too on his tumblr! I thought he had joined this forum but can't find his username....) All the original minis I see there are front-only...do you have any idea if/where versions with backs would be available?

As I understand it he has only ever done these minis for his own home game - starting off with a few cool 'pirate' adaptations of okumarts ' goblins. So he has never done backs for them...... I have created my own mirrored backs to use with them, as it is not a deal-breaker for me.

Oh those are fab aaron. The simple palette you have used really enhances the style and makes them pop!!! Can see an army of them marching down on my players some time soon.....

thanks but I think the sketch-work on this stuff is fantastic and it almost feels dirty covering it up LOL!! the more color I add the more I feel like I am some how diminishing the originals.

Oh I quite understand!! I have been so tempted to print them the way Matt suggests - on sepia paper - and just using solely his minis.... Hopefully a happy medium can be found. Even if it is me printing them as is and letting my kids loose on them with the watercolours!!

PS - I have linked to this thread on my Tumblr and tagged Matt in it (tried to message him but he doesn't accept PMs on there). Hopefully we can get his opinion on them some time soon - he was thrilled when he saw what Stuart had done!

I've enjoyed matt's stuff for quite some time, they look great as is but man they just wouldn't look right up against my chromatic miniatures. Man though just that color scheme would look nice by itself though,

Ideally matching shadows and light to the line art. They do not look artificial and plastic. Great job!

A few yearsback, I only had access to a black and white printer. I printed up some of Ebbles' Terra Force figures and coloured them with water clour paints.

The problem is in the PostImage system.
The forum images show, and the links take you to the image in their system, but when you click on the image to enlarge, they haven't got things set up to go to the '.cc' larger image. It's out of our hands, unfortunately
