Here's a peek at a modular sci-fi kit I'm working on.

You have peaked my interest (I love Scifi stuff lol) and it looks really neat! What kind of set will it be, a room tiles/doors/corridors/props type of kit or exterior building only kit?

It's a modular sci-fi tower-building kit based around building blocks 3.5" high. There are walls in 4", 6" and 8" widths, and these can be combined to create building blocks with footprints of 4x4 4x6, 4x8, 6x6, 6x8, and 8x8. The blocks stack on each other neatly, and you can create balconies and platforms by placing smaller blocks on top of larger blocks. There are also expanding wall pieces (like the one shown above) that widen a 4 inch floor to a 6 inch ceiling, or a 6 inch floor to an 8 inch ceiling.
The building blocks feature lift-off roofs. Some walls are collapsible for easy storage, and there are textured interiors with foamboard-reinforced floors and ceilings. The set includes elevated walkway pieces, a staircase, and some other goodies. Should be available within a few weeks.

Your textures are the best. Is this going to use the geometry from the other thread on modular sci fi?

Yep, I started this project so long ago that I forgot that other thread existed.

Almost done! I'm working on the advert graphics now -- last step before publishing. Monday might be the day. This has been one of those projects where I've been in uncharted territory almost the whole time, learning by trial and error. I'm happy with the way it has turned out, and once I get this first kit wrapped up and available for purchase, it'll be easy to assemble four or five more sets to follow it up. Each kit is built around a single color scheme, starting with a "Construction Yellow" scheme for no particular reason. Each kit will include the full set of modular parts -- all the different sizes of walls, roofs, stairways, elevated walkways, rooftop transmitter -- for $15 USD. You can build forever off of that. The second kit will probably be built around a "Municipal Blue" scheme like the one shown above, and each Babylon kit will be totally compatible with the others. So that's good news, right?

I really like the look of this set, but I will eait until the Blue version. Even then, I will probably greyscale a lot of it

Just a couple more days before the Municipal Blue version of Babylon will be available! And heads up: Once it's ready, if you already own the Construction Yellow version and checked the "send me special offers" option on your customer account at Wargame Vault, RPGNow and DriveThruRPG, you should be getting an email with a special discount link for the Municipal Blue version. (And keep in mind that the automated emailer might take a couple of days to complete sending, and it might end up in your spam folder.)

There I was thinking I'd wait for the RGB8 version in the first post, but the blue is definitely tempting

Before I pull the trigger on this, could you please share what other color options you planning?

Since you're putting each color scheme out as a separate model, I'd sure love to see a bundle down the road. Just a thought...

Was there a discount on blue if you bought yellow? I seem to remember one, and this rusted look is what I was after.

Was there a discount on blue if you bought yellow? I seem to remember one, and this rusted look is what I was after. Just after I released this new version, I sent out (through Wargame Vault's mass emailer dealie) a discount code on the Toxic Sand version to everyone who bought either of the first two. Those emails sometimes end up being flagged as spam, so check your spam folder if you think you should have received something. You also need to make sure that your account settings let you receive special offers, since there's a way to opt-out of that.

I've bought the Construction Yellow, Hospital Green, and Toxic Sand versions. Tonight I got to put some of them to use.
