As I mentioned here, I built the Haunted car from Ravensblight to use as a wrecked, abandoned car for scenery in my Manchuria 1945 games. I will be using it for both FiveCore and Bolt Action. Here is the finished model, with a Berlin Or Bust miniature to show the scale size (1/56 after a little work in GIMP.) It was a quick and easy build.

Sure looks good for "quick and easy." Nice work!

The punched out tires add a nice touch.

The punched out tires add a nice touch. Thank you. It's really a very small, easy thing to do but it makes a big difference between "possible getaway car" and "wreck."

A very interesting build! I have to ask; what did you use to make the base? I have been building egg crate style bases for my dioramas, but your style of base is perfect for individual models.

It's just foamcore board cut to shape and painted the sane color as my gaming board and the bases if my miniatures. I use a toothbrush to splatter some light brown and then black for a little texture, and I flock it the same way as my miniature bases. It's a pretty simple process, but it really helps tie various kinds of scenery together.

Looks great! The base really does finish the piece nicely.

Thanks for advice. I will definitely use that on my next stand-a-lone. I also do something similar with my papercraft standees, I superglue the models to 1" netal washers and paint the washers to match my terrain. It gives them a little weight so they don't scatter every time I sneeze (which is about every five minutes) and helps tie everything together.
