I designed my 15mm boats based a bit on patterns by Gary Chalk that I found online (http://www.madponies.net/pub/FoundryShips/GARYSHIP.pdf) and partially on the wizkids "Constructable Pirates Game." I kind of turned the wizkids construction "inside-out" by gluing the sides together at the front and back and using the deck as a spreader instead of using the deck to hold the sides in. I added the keel to keep the masts vertical and that also reinforced the deck and let me add the top of a rudder.
On the other hand, maybe it's the herd that is crazy.

they looks amazing! today i am off, so after spend some time with my kids maybe i am going to try to make one ( in a very sketch way ). i will post a photo if i can finish it! thanks for the info, take care!
You did well minis on the start. It's nice that they are clean. Tell which paper do you use? How thick (g / m2)? How do you polishing them?
I am using the cheapest paper i have, is from a bloc from the 100 yens shop ( a dollar shop ) maybe is 70gr...not sure. I am using "cellophane", back and front. For colouring i am doing by hand with pencils...maybe is faster than computer and i dont have time, real!
problem is that i dont like so much the design of the mini, is a little...mmm...well, i need to try again hehehe I make a mini using computer and trying to scale right now... I am just checking the best way for me thanks a lot pavaro is nice to speak about this with someone older than a five years old ( like my daughter)
Hope not disturb anyone with the many uploads...just i want to share from sart to finnish the process.
Here's the thing... this forum is my primary internet interest. I check it about every half hour. If there are a lot of updates and pictures, it makes my day better. So, PLEASE post as much as you like. It brightens my day
Hi! I'm Harry, and I am a hobby addict. I prefer papercraft scenery to use alongside my 28mm metal and plastic miniatures, and am not afraid to mix and match my hobby media. I game sci-fi, fantasy, and historical (including Ancients, Dark Ages, Renaissance, and World War II Pacific Theater (oddly in both 28mm infantry and 3mm aircraft.)

Vermin King: I still don't think I have it, but been doing run around trying to get in to see someone, somewhere about getting tested. If not The Virus, I still need to figure out what this is and get it knocked out

Vermin King: I wish I hadn't been curious. Hadn't taken my temperature for a few days, and I'm running a slight fever again. I'm so ticked off. I guess tomorrow I will have to do the nurse hotline. Sun on the Beach...

Vermin King: But I had to drop off my electric bill before Monday (an excuse to get out), and saw I still had a full tank of gas. Filled up on 3/11 and after tonight have gone 54.7 miles ...

Vermin King: Since my Location is either Randolph, Sugar Creek, Four miles SW of Sugar Creek, or Raytown, I wonder if I'm being shown as ignoring the order. As with all stats, you have to take them with a grain of salt

Vermin King: I see that Stay-at-Home is only about 45% effective in the US. That is 45% of folks with cell phones are staying put. Big Brother is tracking cell phone GPS. And why not?

marcpasquin: After Goscinny died, people thought it would be the end of Asterix as he was the writing part of the team but Uderzo managed to keep it going and eventually pass on the torch to new teams that still produce albums to this day.

marcpasquin: Asterix was such a big part of my childhood. Not only did I read all the albums but every years the cartoon movies were part of "Ciné-Cadeau", a holiday time programming block on Télé-Québec that showed animated movies for kids.

lightning: I cannot count how often I read Asterix and Obelix as a kid. Loved how it always ended at a big town dinner around a huge bonfire and the troubadour was gagged somewhere so he couldn't sing. Good times!

Parduz: I still love that comics. Some of them (around the middle age of Asterix production) have some of the best story/dialogues/jokes ever.

squirmydad: God I LOVED those books as a child. Sorry to see him pass.

Vermin King: Well, my efforts to reboot 2020 haven't worked, so I probably won't try the others. BTW, I have always said I am an equal opportunity politician basher. Trump is undoubtedly an ass, but I still have to look at him being the lesser of two evils.
