Making the Flat-bed mod will make things much easier to come up with various back ends. No matter how I look at it, it seems like it will add an extra page. There may be room on the page for both the 6X6 and 4X4 versions Kind of looks like a wrecker like this

I like the way this project is going.
You should do more stupid projects like these!

@coyotepunc, what type of pink truck do you want me to whip up? An unmarked one, suitable for exploration of a slightly dangerous pink-themed planet

Your choices are, onger-back, long box, short box or long or short of the roll-up door sides. Or just a flat-bed. Or the canvas top Or something else. Have you seen oil exploration trucks? Something along those lines might be interesting

I was thinking more like this, which has a very rugged, utilitarian look:

I was thinking more like this, which has a very rugged, utilitarian look: I should be able to get that knocked out at lunch. If I run into any artifacts, it might be tonight. I'm also going to switch out to the new wheels. Up close they don't look as good, but they look much better at a distance

I was thinking more like this, which has a very rugged, utilitarian look: Or would a service truck utility body be better? You did say 'utilitarian'

Whatever works best on the design end. I'm not that picky, I just want some extra scenery for the inevitable mid-town clash between Our Heroes and the local police

Since nothing is set in stone, I just want to give you something that you are happy with, not something you think will work

I'm happy with most things With the shambles that my real life has been in for the past year and a half, somebody designing a papercraft truck in a special color just for me is the happy part. As I don't have a specific use for it other than "general sci-fi frontier town background scenery" the important thing is the color so it blends in. The "function" of the vehicle is largely irrelevant. The Police version will be more of a game-use item Pinkfluffdoodle IV seems to be getting more and more police equipment for some reason...

I will do the version you posted then. When I went to the bank this afternoon, there was an electric company utility truck in the next lot. I was tempted to take a lot of photos

VK, The models you have finished look very good. I just found this thread (I'm not sure why I didn't see it earlier). I'm very interested in seeing the final product. My grandson likes to set up temporary battlefield dioramas. This would really allow him to build and display with more realistic numbers (vehicle wise).

VK,
A very late "Thank you" for the files. I got distracted by my own self-imposed deadlines on my projects and forgot to come back here. These will be perfect!

over at PM.com, there's a guy who is wanting a Freightliner cherry-picker utilities truck
I might end up doing one of those. Earlier in this thread (I think it was this thread), I had mentioned that I almost stopped to take pictures of one. And lo and behold, this kid puts in a request for one. I might end up doing one. We'll see

Vermin King, the idea of you having time to check other sites strikes me as a bit like Norm from Cheers having time to drink in other bars.
